We engaged Chris (Frosty) for snow removal for the winter of 2013/14 and a sign was put in our front garden without our first being asked. For the first large snowfall we had, they arrived very late and explained that they had had numerous equipment failures. A small path was removed from our driveway and then no one returned until THREE days later.
With the next large snowfall, we didn't see anyone and had no communication from them until THREE days AFTER the snow fell. In the meantime, we had freezing rain, so the 4 inches or so of snow on our driveway was solid. Chris from Frosty's told us that they had arrived the day of the snowfall and freezing rain but could do nothing, and that it was our fault that we had not salted our driveway. They went away, never to be heard from again, despite repeated attempts to contact them by phone and by email.
We asked for a pro rated refund of the monies we had prepaid for the season, but no response (or refund) was forthcoming.
