Appliance Repairman

Our LG dishwasher started leaking after 5 years of solid use. We called Appliance repair guys because other companies said they don't deal with LG machines.
A technician named Matthew spent an hour reviewing our machine and said he would need to order some parts and that may take a while. Weeks went by, more weeks. We called the company each week and they gave us the run around, never providing us with any actual information. Which part? What is the timeline? Finally, after escalating to the manager they informed us the repair would be over $600, about twice what we were expecting. In the end I am going to buy a new dishwasher because spending $300 (labour) + $600 ( repairs) + taxes does not make sense on a 5+ year old system. It has taken 8-9 weeks to arrive at this outcome, no help from Appliance Repair Guys. They claim they will refund us $100. We'll see about that...

I called this company to fix the squeak on the dryer. I was told the labour would be $280.00 plus $80 for the rollers. The total ended up costing $452.00 and when I turn the machine on that night the dryer was worse than before. Eventually they sent the same technician back and replaced the rollers. My question is did the technician even change the in the first place?On the second visit he provided the rollers that he changed and they were old. Two weeks later the dryer drum doesn't even turn anymore. I will never use this company ever again and strongly recommend other not to use them either.

Like others, I failed to check Homestars before booking this company. They trick you into paying for labour up front (in my case 280) before they "render" the service. The man told me the part would be around 100 and then came back and said it would be 400. I would have purchased a new appliance for $680! I did not go through with purchasing the parts as the appliance started working. All businesses need a customer base and hopefully people will listen to us and take their business to a more ethical repair shop.

Dishwasher would not completely drain after cycle.called Appliance Guys. First Technicien worked on Sensor Board for $390.00. Problem still existed, they sent out different tech guy, who said it needed a new complete central pump unit, for 490.00. Still did not fix problem, called them back and same Tech guy came and decided that it needed a new drain pump for $290.00. I complained to Appliance Guys all they offered was a discount of $100.00 on the new Drain Pump. This would make the total around $ 1100.00 for a 12 year old Dishwasher that I now Plan to replace for $ 800.00.

My costly mistake for not checking these Guys out ahead of time.

I foolishly googled a repair company that fixed LG appliances as our regular repair person could not, and did not check Homestars first. We paid close to $400 for time and labour to be told that our dryer was irreparable. We were then quoted $460 for a part that I later checked on-line for at $160! Do not use this company. They are unethical and take advantage of people who have not done their research.

NEVER call this company. My oven wasn't working. In desperation I called Appliance Repair Guys from the Internet without checking their reviews, my bad. They sent a repairman who did not even take the stove apart. He then stated that in order to diagnose the problem he would have to take the stove apart which would cost $200.00 plus any parts required, in addition to the $80.00 plus tax for walking in the front door.

They came & gave us the price of $300 to get washing machine working. Fine, go ahead. Repair man left. Used it later & got error code (not seen before) and it started to leak water after the "repair" was done (it never leaked before the repair man came). Call them and they came back. More work done, another $400. Used it later and it still leaked and still got error codes. Called them again now they have to replace a part another $800 after having already spent $700. I'm thinking about calling the police & canceling the VISA charges.

Like everyone else here, they charged me $280 plus tax to tell me they couldn't fix the problem -- then they wanted to charge me more to order new parts from the states. Hopeless.

My bad, I should have checked Homestars before booking them.
Although they showed up on time and did the repair efficiently (I hope), I got charge $423.00 to replace a heating coil.
For another $100, I could have bought a new dryer.
Their pricing is more than excessive. I'm sure I could have done better and so can you - stay away from these gougers!

Came out to fix dishwasher. Charged $300 and cleaned out filter. When noise started again two days later, said would cost $500 for parts to replace sump,motor. Got another service which said motor fine and found broken plastic inside which caused problem.
Most untrustworthy service I ever encountered!
