We first heard of Sean through our son and daughter-in-law who were purchasing a house and had found him at the Homestars website. My son had work commitments that were taking him out of town for several weeks so Sean kindly gave them priority and was able to complete the inspection and report within a few days in order to facilitate the purchasing process. When they showed us the report we were struck by the fact that a lot of the problems with the house were relatively hidden. We had walked through it and not noticed nearly as much as Sean was able to find. That got us thinking about our own home which is a similar age (30+ years). What might be lurking through our lack of attention? So it seemed to us that Sean's inspection of our home might ultimately save us some money and grief down the road. We have just received his report and we were right. He has detailed in red all of the things that are a priority for keeping moisture out and maintaining health and fire safety. Less urgent items are colour coded so our priorities couldn't be clearer. Thank you Sean for the peace of mind.

We are so happy we found Sean online! He did a really great job with the home inspection that we hired him for. My boyfriend is an investor has has bought many houses. He's dealt with many different inspectors, but none of them really impressed him. We needed to have a home inspection for a house that I was going to buy so we went online to see what our other options for inspectors are and we found Sean to have the top rating and decided to contact him. We wanted to schedule it on a Saturday because we wanted to be there for the inspection. Sean had personal plans then, but was very kind and accommodating that he moved it to do our inspection! We are so grateful about that. We wanted to understand and learn about the inspection as well and he allowed us to be with him as he did the inspection. He was also explaining his findings as he went along and it was very educational for us. We now know more things to look out for the next time we look at houses. He found major issues from the house that we didn't see and think about. He was very thorough in his inspection. My boyfriend who's dealt with many inspectors said that Sean is hands down the best inspector he's seen. The major issues he found in the house saved us a lot of money! If he didn't find those, we would not have known about it and would have gone through with the deal and would have spent so much money on a house that was not worth it at all. I very highly recommend Sean. I will be contacting him again when I find another house that I want to buy.

We needed to get our subjects removed by February 12th, 2014, which included "home inspection" for a home that we wanted to purchase. So with less than week to get it done, I went online to research for a home inspector . Sean Moss met the criteria that I was looking for prior to hiring him. He had a very good review in homestars.com website. He is a registered member as oppose to an associate member in one of the 4 recognized group that oversees home inspectors in Canada. He belongs to CHAPI and as a registered member he has completed over 250 fee-paid inspections. He has A+ BBB rating and to boot he is a certified mold specialist. He is actually the one doing the inspection so as the owner and only employee he has a lot at stake. I have hired 2 inspectors on previous home purchases and even observed one hired to do an inspection on the house that I just sold and none was as detailed as Sean. He spent close to 5 hours inspecting the 3000 sq feet house and spent another hour going through his findings with us. He has also taken the time to answer my questions via email and phone calls days after the inspection. As I know a few things about houses he pointed the things that I already have noticed which I expected him not to miss such as a cracked toilet and cracked window and blown window seals. Although he did not go on the roof as his insurance does not cover certain height he was able to point out that there could be some issue with the roof through his inspection via the attic. Next day I had a roofer come by and he was able to confirm Sean's findings and although not immediate the roof needed to be addressed within the next few months. Sean's detailed findings allowed us to make an informed decision on whether or not to purchase the house (in the end we did purchase it) and we will recommend him to friends and families

Wow. Let's just say from the time we contacted Sean, to the days after the inspection was done, my Wife and I have been thoroughly impressed.

I contacted Sean late one evening to complete a home inspection; our subject removal was within days. Before putting my head down for some late nite youtubing, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a reply from Sean. This wasn't a standard auto-reply, he got back to us...he got back to us really fast.

As the week went on, he provided all of the details of his process and outlined the procedure that would occur during the inspection. We had a lot of questions. Sean was quick to reply and even called the night before the inspection day to clarify some of the expectations that I hoped the report would present. At this point, Sean had already gained our full confidence and we hadn't even met yet!

Sean mentioned that he would be there early to look around the building, so he was already there when we arrived. Right away, he summarized some of the items he noticed. During the inspection, Sean took the time to point out each issue, provide tips and information, and gave us the opportunity to ask further questions and get clarification. This was extremely helpful.

One of our concerns was the common areas of the building. At the time, we did not have access to these areas, but Sean offered to come back the day after if we could make arrangements to get access. Fortunately, we were able to gain access on the day, but we really appreciated the offer; that's purely just great service.

So onto the report...it was awesome. The inspection report was exactly what we needed to form our decision; it was informative, straight forward, and simple to read (especially with the color coded information). In addition to Sean's advice during the inspection, this report formed the basis of our decision, and provides the basis of how to properly maintain the property in the future.

In addition, we received the inspection report on the same day as the inspection. What better way to summarize the findings while its still fresh in the mind. Sean also followed up with a phone call and encouraged us to ask any questions now or in the future.

So, we had a great experience with our Home Inspection with Sean. You can tell that he enjoys his work, works really hard, and we can sincerely say that he exceeded our expectations for the service he provided. We'll be keeping his card handy, and won't hesitate to refer his services to anyone that we know that could benefit from his great work.

We called Sean at 11:00 PM, not expecting to hear back until the next day. Despite the lateness, he immediately contacted us to set up our appointment. That was such a relief because of our short time-frame. He was extremely professional, personable, and knowledgeable. It soon became apparent that the house (over 100 years old) was full of major issues. However, he continued until the end of the inspection in great detail, teaching me everything he could, so that even though we didn't want this house, at least I would be better educated when I looked at future houses. He answered all of my silly questions, and wedged himself into very narrow, overgrown places that seemed impassable. It is rare to see someone who has such an excellent quality in their work. Thank you Sean! We are so grateful that you prevented us from buying a "money pit" of a house.
