This is the fourth time that I have used Charlie and he was awesome once again. Charlie constructioned a great storage unit for my antique canoe.
Charlie filled in some missing pavement on my driveway, he fixed a wonky pipe, put up a shelve and built a shelve in our kichen. Charlie is honest, very trustworthy and does great work.

A different contractor waffled about the price and claimed it was a big job. Charlie gave us a "best case" quote and a "worst case" quote. He was able to fix it in an hour and a half, at the "best case" price. He called to offer any follow-up we may need. For the first time since we moved in, we can close the bathroom door all the way and not worry about being trapped in the bathroom! We appreciate his honesty and will definitely use him again.

After a major draining repair, we were left with a torn-up tile floor in our basement bathroom, as well as torn-up floor and drywall in our basement closet. We found Charlie on Homestars and are so happy with his work. Not only did he do a wonderful job on both floors, he did a host of other small repairs around our home. He also noticed that our dryer was improperly vented and fixed that . I highly recommend Charlie and Aaron: very courteous, very professional, and great work.

Charlie and Aaron came today to do some work at my house. I am beyond happy with the work and them. I wish I was handy, I am not . But thank my lucky stars that people as talented, knowledgable, handy and nice as them exist to work with. I wish there was a rating of 100 I could hand out.. Thank you!

Mr Rescue is fantastic and I would highly recommend him. He actually responds to inquiries, calls in advance to confirm and let you know he is on his way. Charlie was always early, very efficient, very knowledgeable and completed the work very well. He points out issues, safety concerns, and follows up to make sure everything is working properly. I will definitely call him the next time something comes up.

I called Mr. Rescue to have my shower fixtures replaced in my master bathroom (shower head, knob and spout), the shower head in my guest bathroom, the faucet replaced in my powder room, some tiles fixed in my laundry room and my dryer to be retrofitted. Charlie and his partner, Aaron, did an amazing job on everything. I’ve worked with many contractors / handymen and none of them come close to Charlie’s standards. I am a very meticulous person. I need everything to be done perfectly. So it’s difficult for me to find someone that can meet my expectations, but Charlie definitely met them. He’s timely, complete, thorough, professional, and most importantly, his work is amazing. I highly recommend him for any job.

My wife and I recently purchased a home that was in need of some work. We hired Charlie and his crew after reading all of the great reviews on Homestars. Every one of the positive reviews here is well deserved. Charlie and his guys did a great job on the work they did for us. What we thought was going to be a fairly simple bathroom reno (removing a shower and installing a w/d) turned into a much bigger job when mold and other problems were discovered. Charlie handled it, took the time to explain to us what was going on, and did a great job. He also disconnected the downspouts from the foundation of our home, and converted an unused stairwell into a closet for us. We are very happy with the work he's done for us, and would certainly recommend him to family and friends.

Charlie (Mr. Rescue) came to my home the next day (I called a few other repair people and they never returned my phone calls). He fixed a cabinet door perfectly. Charlie is exceptionally reliable, efficient and friendly. He did an amazing job with a cabinet hinge that is very difficult to repair. I highly recommend Charlie for all handy work and repair needs. He is excellent. Do not look further, Charlie is the person to contact.

This is the second time we have had Charlie in to do a repair and just like the last time he was amazing! He showed up on time, fixed everything promptly and even charged us less that his original quote because it didn't take as long as he had estimated it world. I can really respect that as he could have easily just held us to our original quote.

Additionally he texts which is fantastic as I was able to take pictures of the leaking valves so he could assess the situation immediately and knew what kinds of parts to buy and bring with him for the repairs.

We are for sure going to be hiring him again in the future for a cabinet reno as well as anything else that comes up.

The collar around this handheld shower had been broken for three years and one important part was missing. It was an especially ugly job because there was no way to access underneath the tub so it would be necessary to remove an expensive marble tile and hopefully not break it. Charlie studied the problem and we discussed various alternatives. I did not really want to have to buy an all new fixture as it would not match the other bathtub fixtures. Charlie found a part on another plumbing piece that was extremely close to the original which was a great step one. He cautioned me that there was a strong liklihood that the marble tile would break and I accepted the risk.In a short amount of time, Charlie fixed a problem professionally that has bothered me for years. The tile did break; I found a spare in the garage and he replaced it perfectly. Charlie and his colleague also removed the wobbly wrought iron railings on both of my decks that had been put back incorrectly by a previous contractor. He placed them in the right location and secured them properly. Lastly, he replaced and caulked a number of outside vents. These may sound like small things but when you lack the skills, strength and time to do it yourself, it is a pleasure to find someone who can. Charlie did a great job and I will definitely call him again. I am already working on my next “to do” list. I appreciated his work ethic, timeliness, flexibility and especially his willingness to take on small, aggravating jobs.
