I was scheduled for inspection of my air conditioning unit and furnace. Gary A was the technician who arrived at my house promptly (in fact a little early) and performed the required services. Bosco Home Services office called me ahead of time, and Gary himself called about 45 minutes before arrival. He was pleasant, friendly and attended to the job at hand immediately, after first donning the "booties" to protect my floors. He was very efficient, checked the outside unit as well, and reviewed the procedures, explaining fully anything that need attention, and provided a list of options available that I might find beneficial. Overall I was pleased with his service and attention to detail and would highly recommend Bosco and Gary to anyone else.

The kitchen sink drain has been a problem for years. Many plumbers have tried to fix it in many ways. Paul was in to clear a blockage which succeeded but suggested that the configuration of the pipes was not allowing for a full cleanout. He suggested a powerflush which, though expensive, we did to insure that the pipes are clean. All is good now!

We had a gas leak in our basement the night before our house was going on sale. Bosco/Kevin's response was quick and Kevin was extremely responsive to our needs and fixed the issue working until 3:00 AM. He also gave us some good going-forward advice and was more than happy to help with some follow questions and concerns I had the next day. Very pleasant and capable service.

Sam G replaced our R/O filters then did a plumbing inspection.
We realized I was no longer able to turn off the water shut offs in
the bathrooms and kitchen. This was addressed. Next was the
faucets in the main bathroom which has leaked for years. Sam
dismantled one tap and then suggested I check out the manufacturer's warranty for parts before going further.
I so respected Sam's integrity as well as his professionalism.
Going forward I would definitely request Sam.
We have done a lot of business with Bosco and have found all
their service people to be very good.

Our appointment was scheduled in a timely matter. We received a call 30mins before the technician Sam arrived. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He provided us with our options and the prices before he did any work. Once we picked the option that was suitable to us, he went to work. The work was done in a timely matter and he did a great job.
This is our third time using Bosco and we will continue to use them. I do find them expensive but so far they have met and exceeded our expectations.

While recently away from home we received info from our house sitter that at least one toilet in our home was leaking. We also had info from our water supplier (Metro Toronto) that our water bill would be 3 times the previous one. We had the water turned off in both toilets and on our return home immediately called Bosco to come and inspect and repair the toilets. As both toilets were over 25 years old the recommendation was to supply and install 2 new toilets which was done the very same day! The technician ( Sam G.) was with us for over 8 hours and was polite, courteous and efficient. Hurray for Bosco!

We have called Bosco Plumbing a few days ago after hours, to have a small water pipe leak fixed. After I explained them what the problem (and fix) was, they advised me that they charge $149 to come out and then I will have to pay in addition to that amount whatever the work will cost. Due to the after hours time I accepted the $149 + cost of work.

One hour later the technician arrived and agreed that in fact he needs to replace a 1/2" fitting (he agreed with me that this is about a 30 minute to 1 hours job; parts cost less than $10). And that is where the shocking part started:

First, he told me that he needs to replace the fitting but he does not have the part (despite me advising them before they came what the problem was). He offered to come back the following day or to send another technician who had the part.

Then he told me that fixing it will cost me about $850!!!! (I had similar jobs done at my house - and the price I paid was $100 to $150).

And on top of that they recommended I also replace the water heater (there was nothing wrong with the water heater...) which of course they also would be happy to do for me...

This is a shocking rip off: coming out (and charging $149 for it) while having no parts (despite me telling them exactly what the problem was) - and then offering to do it for $850 for a total cost of nearly $1000 !!!

I will avoid these guys from far - and I would caution everybody considering to use them to be VERY CAREFUL as they may rip off others too...

I read many positive reviews before I called them - and now I wonder: were those reviews written by employees and friends to increase their rating?

Update (1 day later): the leak was fixed by another company. Total cost: $185 (no "diagnostic fee" - that was the total cost, all in... And they did more than what Bosco quoted me on)...

I called in the morning due to the heat problems. Since we are a daycare we were really needing a fast service.
BOSCO send the technician within an hour.
Service was excellent. Gary did a great job of checking and explaining.

They offered a free plumbing overview. Sam was very good and no pressure to buy their services right then and there. Nice service to offer. Will use them if and when I need repairs.

After a very poor first performance (owner remedied nicely), we agreed to use again. Twice this week they did not show up for the appt. They called 30 min after the scheduled time (and after I came home from work to meet them) to say they weren't coming. I would NOT waste my time again.
