Today, we had Paul from Duct Cleaning Specialists come by. Wow, he was amazing with everything. Very professional, clean, and well spoken for his age. After all the reviews I've heard and read Paul is definately great to work with. He did a full duct cleaning, sanitization, and furnace cleaning and change all for a great price. I was soo impressed with all the junk he got out, and how clean he managed to leave the place after he was done with everything. I highly recommend him for all services, and especially duct cleaning services. Definately will be using his in the future. Thanks, Paul!!!

I had Paul come out and clean our ducts on a new house, despite the builder having their own company "clean" it just days before. It was easy to tell the difference between the shady job the builder's contractor did vs. what should have been done.

The job was done quickly, and Paul took the time to explain everything he was doing, and provide some pointers for maintaining our home.

I have already recommended his services to a neighbour, and will continue to do so if anyone else asks.

Paul was highly recommended by the company we purchased our new furnace from. He did much more than we expected. He was very punctual, polite and organized. He did a thorough job even though he gave us a special rate. We have had our ducts cleaned before but compared to what Paul did I think we had an expensive vacuum done. Single best experience I've had with a contractor. Paul was very polite and accommodating. Just looking at how well organized his truck was, I could tell this this guy took pride in his work. He was also meticulous about details such as ensuring that the hole cut near the furnace was WELL sealed after the job was done.

After doing some research online into local duct cleaning companies, and coming across the amazing reviews given to The Duct Cleaning Specialists on HomeStars, I figured I would give them a call to find out more information. From the very first contact I had with Paul I was impressed with his professionalism and customer service.

Paul provided me with a comprehensive estimate, detailing everything that was to be included in that price. He seemed knowledgeable about the business, and was available to clean our ducts at a time which was convenient for our busy family. Paul mentioned his April special, as well as his Blue Jays promotion that happened to be running the week we wanted the ducts cleaned, and the further 5% discount we would receive for being a HomeStars referral.

Paul came out to our home in Hamilton on the date we had scheduled (today!). There was an accident on the highway which put him a few minutes behind and he was courteous enough to call and let us know about the delay. Paul brought Steve along to assist him, and both of these young men were polite as they introduced themselves and shook my hand. They took their shoes off at the door and got right to work. They looked at the furnace location, and explained to me where they would be running hoses and exactly what they would be doing for the cleaning. They placed covers over all the vents, and cleaned all air intake registers and vent registers thoroughly. Paul then accessed the duct work near the furnace and cleaned the duct work throughout the entire house. Afterwards he cleaned the furnace, checked the furnace and humidifier filters, and gave recommendations with regard to each. As well, a complete house duct sanitization was performed and instructions were provided as to switching back the thermostat.

Paul goes even beyond that “extra mile” with regard to customer service. From cleaning our dryer exhaust at no charge, to re-taping old connections that were no longer doing their job properly, to doing a neat, tidy and thorough job, and even to running their promotions, I cannot speak more highly of this company.

(Funny story. My young boys, who were at school for most of the cleaning, had inquired the night before about the “Duck Man”, and I told Steve the story I’d made up last night about how they were coming to remove all the (invisible) ducks in our house (saying: “do you hear that? they’re quacking all over the place.”). The kids thought the story was funny and silly. Anyway, after I told Steve the story, and once the little guys got home, he even amused my boys by playing along and quacking at them for me. LOL. )

When the job was done, all hoses, tarps, tools and equipment were put away in the truck, then Paul wrote up our invoice and went over it with me. He provided us with a receipt along with our promotional baseball tickets and a ballot for their weekly draw.

Simply stated, The Duct Cleaning Specialists did a fantastic job. Other than clean air, there’s no sign of them having been here – that is, there is no dirt, debris or other mess left for us to clean. Their pricing is beyond fair, both Paul and Steve were extremely polite, and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for a duct cleaning company that truly cares about their customers. I look forward to having them return again in a few years.

Paul is an outstanding individual and would highly reccomend his service. Had a similar service performed several years ago and was able to compare with my previous experience and, honestly, I was blown away by the professionalism and competence of this young man.

My wife and myself plan to move into our first house soon. Duct cleaning was our last item on the list prior to moving in after a very dusty reno. I asked my wife to look up a bunch of duct cleaning companies and arrange to have our ducts cleaned. She mentioned Paul was by far the most professional and helpful one she contacted and had no reason to call any other company. We arranged to have him do the work today (Saturday).

Without asking, the first thing he did was take of his shoes before entering the house. Little things like that can tell you alot about a person. Paul is a very friendly guy and he took his time to explain what he was going to do and showed us the equipment he will be using. We had a feeling early on that we chose the right company to do the work. I also noticed that he keeps the inside of his truck very neat and organized, again tells you alot about the person and their company. He gave us a great price and did some extra work that other companies would have no doubt charged extra for.

My sister recently said the duct cleaning company she hired was in and out in half an hour and she was not please one bit. Paul was the complete opposite. He was very thorough and patched all his access holes very nicely and did not seem rushed at all. I was very pleased with the work Paul did and will be passing his information on to my family and friends.

On Sunday I was reading the Homestars Forum and saw a post from Paul at The Duct Cleaning Specialists about a contest he was having. The first person to call him with the 'secret word' would win free duct cleaning. I have only had my ducts cleaned once in over 20 years and it was certainly time to have them cleaned. I called and won!
Right from the start I was very impressed. He didn't try to sell me anything else and asked me when it was convenient for me for him to do the duct cleaning. I told him that Tuesday around 3:00pm would be best. He told me that it would take at least 2 hours. He arrived early (2:30 pm), which worked out great for me. The first thing he did was introduce himself and shake my hand. He came inside to check out everything and noticed that the company that had done my duct cleaning many years ago had made the holes in the ducts in the wrong place (on the slope going into the furnace, rather than on the straight part). He explained to me that being on the slope would allow alot of the dust/dirt to flow back into the furnace. The small hole only had a piece of regular duct tape that tends to dry out and deteriorate over time and was not plugged with any plug. Also, the large hole had the regular duct tape. He plugged the hole with the proper plug and retaped both with the proper tape. He explained to me what he was doing and why he was doing it. He placed tarps along the floors leading to the basement so that the hose would not damage the floors and took off his shoes. He did an extremely thorough job and then brought in his shop vac to clean up around the vents. He also checked the furnace filter and saw that I was using one of the old washable ones that aren't as efficient. He installed a new disposable filter at no charge. He also went into the crawl space and cleaned the returns in there.
