Reliable Home Comfort

After being in our home for six years with a broken not working humidifier from day one. It was time to get one installed we was around 10-20% humidity and it was so dry. Dry skin and static shock from various items around the home.

Used Reliable in the past to fix our AC, contacted Reliable and was in touch with Rob via email, explained my problem and what we needed, I was able to arrange the entire job via email, that suited me better.

He was able to install his recommend Honeywell unit that suited me best. He was on time and quickly set about removing and install the new unit. He checked over our furnace and made sure I was happy with the job he had done, explained everything to me as he was doing it. Very pleased.

Great guy to deal with, knows what he's doing and was able to be me good advise.

24 hours latter we have double the humidity in the house, much better than before depending on the room we are seeing 30-40% humidity, very pleased with the results.

Just wish I did it sooner, on a side note when Reliable fixed my AC two years before they advised me on a new humidifier but at the time I was using a small table top unit in the bedroom and didn't feel I needed one. If you thinking this then think again, reliable was right having a house unit is much better. No more static shocks and my wooden floor will thank me for it.

Our 19 year-old Heil furnace stopped working just a few days ago. I have a service contract with Direct Energy, so I called them first. The technician arrived pretty quickly. He got the furnace running temporarily, but asked me to promise that I would get the furnace replaced as soon as possible. I looked at Homestars reviews and called 3 HVAC companies for estimates, including Direct Energy and Reliable Home Comfort. I was impressed with the professionalism of all three estimators, who all showed up promptly and answered our questions fully, but Darryl and Reliable won the day.

Jamie and Peter arrived the next morning and got to work. Our 55-year old home has no basement - the furnace is located in a main floor utility room. When Jamie saw the layout, he suggested that setting up the drain would probably be as time-consuming as installing the furnace. That wasn't the case, but the drain issue was definitely a significant complication. Fortunately, the installers figured out a solution, tying into the kitchen drain, that appears to work perfectly and is completely hidden from view.

The installers worked with speed and care and were very diligent about minimizing the mess and the after-install cleanup. When the job was finished late that afternoon, there was no evidence left that Reliable had ever been there, other than the new Goodman furnace, quietly and gently blowing warm air through the ducts.

I called reliable when my furnace fan starting acting up. Rob was extremely helpful on the phone and even tried to trouble shoot the problem. Rob ended up coming within a few hours and the problem was fixed quick and efficiently.

I called Reliable last year when I had issues with my furnace igniter and I was completely blown away by their helpful, prompt service, and reasonable pricing.

Recently, my furnace has been making an annoying squealing noise that could be heard all throughout the house. Reliable came by the next morning and found that it was only a piece of old foil wrap inside the furnace that was making the noise. As simple as the service call was, it was so refreshing to be able to have confidence in Reliable's honesty. I called Reliable (for the first time) because I was advised to have my 5 year old furnace cleaned due to an intermittent smell of gas. Darryl came the next day and said that cleaning wasn’t really necessary but he did clean the sensor. Now, I have peace of mind. In my case, there was no charge for the visit. I really appreciated not being taken advantage of like other contractors have done. He was friendly, honest and informative, which is rare these days. Such honesty pays off and you put other contractors to shame. Keep it up! Thanks Reliable. There will come another time in the future when I will need furnace servicing and I will not hesitate to call Reliable again.

This review is a little late...it's been hectic. I had a new furnace installed February 6, 2014. I dealt with the entire team: Daryl did the initial assessment & quote; Rob handled the e-paperwork and the installation appointment; Jaime & Peter did the install. Everyone was pleasant to work with. Jaime & Peter were here all day (my installation was particularly difficult because I did not want to take down the wall). They were polite, professional, and tidied up when it was all done. Great job by Jaime & Peter and the entire Reliable team. Thank you!

Darryl came in and replaced our old boiler with a Baxi Luna 3 (its hangs on the wall) that runs %86 efficiency. It heats the rads and the tap water. He also replace many of our old huge cast iron pipes with modern pex lines. This freed up a huge amount of space in our basement turning our furnace room into a small closet. It also slashed our gas bill! Their work was professional and its clear they have more knowledge then most other hvac companies. Highly recommended.
