We have been extremely pleased with Mr. Dima's service in the past, so he was the logical choice for installing a drain for our new fridge. He inspected the location and fridge, and patiently explained that our new fridge didn't require a drain, but that the internal ice-maker needed a water supply. He very efficiently installed a new copper line, replaced a heavily corroded shut-off valve, and left the site in immaculate condition. Once gain, Dima Plumbing saved the day, and at a very fair price.

We have just had 650 square feet of new hardwood flooring installed in two rooms of our Scarborough home. We went with Obsessions Exotic Walnut Solid Sawn in a natural colour, purchased from Kamran at the Hardwood Design Centre (Hardwood Giant) store at 1950 Lawrence Avenue East in Scarborough. Pricing was competitive and the installation, handled by Trevor, was exceptional. The rooms look striking - not only the floors, but the baseboard and trim work, also handled by Trevor. Oak transitions were stained to match the flooring, baseboards and moulding were carefully cut and fitted. My wife and I are beyond pleased with the excellent pricing, installation and service. I have read some very harsh and negative online reviews of Giant Hardwood, but for me, the flooring supplied by the Scarborough store, and the installation team's work, were both superb.

Smart Choice replaced 14 windows and we are beyond pleased with the installation and results. All windows, a mix of triple-glazed larger horizontal sliders and smaller vertical sliders, were replaced brick-to-brick - all the old aluminum window frames, pink insulation and hardware, about 40 years old, were removed and replaced with new brick molding, spray foam insulation, and new interior and exterior trim. The 3-man Smart Choice crew took 2 days to complete the job and left the house in perfect condition. The windows look fantastic, operate perfectly and have helped to dramatically improve the comfort level in the house - the air temperature differential from main floor to upper floor has gone from several degrees to about one degree of difference. We wouldn't have believed that new windows could have that dramatic an effect, especially on the comfort level in the upstairs bedrooms. We no longer need to crank up the AC, to keep upstairs bedroom temperatures bearable. Thanks Smart Choice!

Omid did a fantastic job. He was very courteous and polite. He provided an estimate, showed up at the agreed time, and completed the work very quickly and carefully. Yes, it was just a small job, but he took great care to make certain that we were satisfied with the installation and that the outlet functioned properly. I would recommend Omid and York Tech Electric, without reservation. We have now had Omid back (September 2018) to do additional work - troubleshooting faulty circuits and replacing 2 outdoor lights. Once again, he and Olim provided outstanding service. This was a little more complicated than the previous job. The main cable was buried under the patio and had a short circuit, which needed to be located and corrected; and 2 new outdoor lights installed. The work was done quickly and the lights now shine brightly! Awesome work guys!

I requested quotes from a few companies. Hotwire was the first to get back to me, with what I felt to be a fair quote. That fast response, and their sterling reviews on Homestars, convinced me. Tyler and Adam showed up on the agreed day, at exactly the agreed time. On the work date, HotWire arranged the disconnect/reconnect and final inspection. Replacing the outdated fuse panel, and some external breaker boxes, went smoothly, as did the transfer of the hydro meter from inside the house to an accessible external location. Tyler and Adam worked quickly, left the job site immaculately clean and also completed a couple of other small jobs that had been agreed in advance - replaced a 55 year old exhaust fan and a couple of older, 2-prong receptacles. They also took the time to label every breaker. All in all, a necessary upgrade done quickly, for a fair price and with minimal disruption. Great work, HotWire!

Our 19 year-old Heil furnace stopped working just a few days ago. I have a service contract with Direct Energy, so I called them first. The technician arrived pretty quickly. He got the furnace running temporarily, but asked me to promise that I would get the furnace replaced as soon as possible. I looked at Homestars reviews and called 3 HVAC companies for estimates, including Direct Energy and Reliable Home Comfort. I was impressed with the professionalism of all three estimators, who all showed up promptly and answered our questions fully, but Darryl and Reliable won the day. Jamie and Peter arrived the next morning and got to work. Our 55-year old home has no basement - the furnace is located in a main floor utility room. When Jamie saw the layout, he suggested that setting up the drain would probably be as time-consuming as installing the furnace. That wasn't the case, but the drain issue was definitely a significant complication. Fortunately, the installers figured out a solution, tying into the kitchen drain, that appears to work perfectly and is completely hidden from view. The installers worked with speed and care and were very diligent about minimizing the mess and the after-install cleanup. When the job was finished late that afternoon, there was no evidence left that Reliable had ever been there, other than the new Goodman furnace, quietly and gently blowing warm air through the ducts. My heartfelt thanks to Darryl for the very reasonable quote and to Jamie and Peter for a quick and careful install and a perfect cleanup.
