Reliable Home Comfort

Our furnace had been erratic for a couple of weeks and when we woke up with no heat one morning I started looking for a repair service, dreading the possibility of having to replace the furnace. After reading about Reliable Home Comfort on Homestars I gave them a call and couldn't be happier! I got in touch with Rob right away and he was able to make some changes to his already busy schedule in order to fit us in that day. When he arrived he quickly diagnosed to problem (a bad sensor) and had it fixed and running perfectly in no time, as well as helping me with a few questions I had about our heating system and giving me some great advice on maintaining it. If you're having problems with you hvac and need an honest, reliable service company to help you, call these guys, they are absolutely top notch and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I contacted Rob at Reliable Home Comfort when our furnace stopped working during the last deep freeze. He assured me that someone would be attending the call the following morning. As promised, Jaime called the following morning to let me know he was enroute to our home. Jaime performed the necessary repair in short order and restored much-needed heat to our house. Honestly one of the best experiences when dealing with a contractor. Rob and Jamie were phenomenal. The communication and commitment to getting the job done on time was outstanding. Rob was extremely accomodating and went over and above to make sure we had what we needed and that we were satisfied. I have nothing but great things to say about this company. In -10 degrees winter, we had no heat. We called in another company to fix the problem and was told there was water in our internal motor, and the venting was not up-to-date. We were stuck with a B tag, and if we did not update our venting, Enbridge would come shut us off. After some research on homestars, we decided to call Reliable. Rob came and replaced our venting at a lower cost. A few days later, we had no heat again, so we called back Reliable. Darryl came, had another look, and explained everything clearly. He told us our motor was starting to fail, got our heat to work again, and gave us the option to 1) replace the motor, or 2) replace our furnace. Given the age of our furnace, and after asking Darryl many questions via the phone, we decided to replace our furnace to an ENERGY STAR 96% AFUE furnace and install a central humidifier (since our house is so dry). Darryl and Rob came, was very professional, put drop sheets down to protect our floors, and cleaned everything up afterwards. Furnace is now working smoothly so far. I will be calling them again for future work and recommending to friends. One thing that was a bit odd: we had confirmed with Darryl that we would be getting a new humidifier over the phone, but on site, Rob said he was going to re-use our existing humidifier. In order to avoid confusion, I would recommend re-confirming any changes to the quote in writing before they commence work.

Rob and Jerry and Dave were outstanding in their installation of a furnace and really great customer service.

Would highly recommend them to anyone. Very honest people who know that customer service is an important part of getting a repeat customer.

Jamie from Reliable Home Comfort did an excellent job in repairing our furnace which wasn't heating up at all. We found him very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He found the problem right away but when the furnace kept shutting off before reaching the set temperature, he investigated and fixed the problem. He stayed a bit longer than required to make sure the furnace stayed on. Jamie is very dedicated person who really cares for his customers. If ever we have the furnace or air conditioning problems we would be calling Reliable Comfort Home. I definitely recommend them. Thank you Jamie for great service.

New home condensate pump fixed by Jaime and Kyle, I believe. I'm terrible with names. Dudes were friendly, informative, and insured that everything is running smoothly. Didn't cost an arm or a leg like some competing companies. Nothing bad to say.

Called Reliable and Rob was at my house within two hours of the call. Completed the repair on the furnace within a half hour. I was away from the city and their was no problems. Excellent job.

So I had a 19 yr old Lennox furnace that decided it was time to stop working during the Toronto deep freeze. I called a number of places (top Homestars-rated) after business hours, it was Darryl from Reliable who called me back right away. Even better he was able to send Dave over that same night(!) to investigate. I really appreciated that Dave took the time to patiently test various fixes/workarounds on the Lennox, before we decided it was most sensible to replace the furnace. I think a key point for me is that Reliable made a thorough effort to diagnose/try easy fixes first, making me feel very confident that a new furnace was finally the correct decision. The next day Rob and Dave (a 2nd Dave :) very carefully installed the new furnace. I was impressed at how everyone from Reliable was polite, patient, and professional - I feel comfortable recommending Reliable.
