Reliable Home Comfort

Our electric water heater gave out and at its age, even it was reparable, it wasn't worth repairing. Reliable had a gas water heater in stock and replaced our heater with that the next possible day. The work was done neatly and cleanly and with as little interruption to my own day as possible. I appreciated not having the upsell attempt to a fancier system that my own research had shown me I didn't need.

I had used Reliable Home Comfort when I needed a new furnace & was very pleased with them so I obviously called them up when I was in need of a new central air unit this past summer.
Once again they didn't disappoint. The owner Rob is a pleasure to deal with. From the estimate to the installation Rob & his installers were professional, courteous & knowledgeable. As a repeat customer I was given a great deal as well. Not once was I left feeling taken advantage of as is the case with many companies out there.
I appreciate the level of honesty that the members of this site post about their experiences with various companies & I'm glad it's available to me when I'm in need of hiring or purchasing.
Thus, I in turn take the time to write a review that might be of value to someone else.
So, it goes without saying that I highly recommend Reliable Home Comfort for all of your heating & cooling needs.

Rob was a pleasure to deal with. He came over promptly to give me a quote and emailed it that evening. He even fixed my sliding door that was not closing properly. The installers were polite and efficient. Rob stopped in to make sure everything was going ok. All in all a very pleasant experience.

I couldn't possibly be any happier with this company. The owner himself came out for the initial consultation and gave great advice as to which unit to install. Darryl did the installation flawlessly and tidied up every spec from the work areas inside and out. He then patiently explained how to set and use the new thermostat. The service was punctual and the final price was exactly as quoted. Everyone was friendly and professional. And the new furnace is working beautifully. Great job!

My furnace wasn't working and I gave a call to Reliable Home Comfort based on Homestar reviews. Rob scheduled an appointment with me for the following day and Dave arrived to assess the situation. He opened up our furnace and quickly found the problem - the igniter needed to be replaced. He had the part in his truck and about 10 minutes later everything was working and I had heat in the house again!

Spoke to Michelle and Bill on the phone. Bill was absolutely the most professional sounding and accommodating person that I have ever spoken to.
Matt, the installation tech. showed up on time and installed a new H.W. heater. He was absolutely great. He answered my questions, was careful when removing and installing the H.W. heater and did a very neat and tidy installation. (I'm fussy).
Great experience. Actually surprised me to be honest.

Rob from Reliable was polite, professional, and not only had the least expensive quote but convinced us to keep our old air conditioner. He also gave it a free cleaning and top up as part of the furnace install.

On the Civic Day holiday in Aug 2015, our air conditioner fan stopped operating. I called Reliable and left my information with their message service. Because it was a holiday, I was not expecting a call until the next day, but I got a call from Dave at Reliable within 2 hours.

First of all, Dave was great to deal on the phone. We did some initial trouble shooting over the phone, and he was very patient while I tried various things. Because of the safety concerns, we decided it was best to turn off the breaker of the AC. As you can appreciate, HVAC companies would be very busy during that hot sweltering period, but Dave did his best to accommodate and we found a time on the Wednesday of the same week.

Dave arrived at our house on time. He was very professional and courteous and didn't talk down to me. When he found out the problem, he called me over, showed me the problem, and gave me an estimate on the spot. To my relief, it was only a minor repair. After Dave made the repair, he stuck around for another 20 minutes to thoroughly test everything and make sure there was no complications.

I highly recommend Dave and Reliable Home Comfort.

This company is all about the customer..... My furnace went in January and Darryl came right away gave me a quote and the work was completed the next day. Just recently there was water leaking from the furnace area, Darryl was there within 1/2 hour and even though it was nothing to do with the furnace, he fixed the problem and even cleaned up the water!!!

I had a few issues occur nearly simultaneously involving repairing and upgrading in and around my home, so when my A/C began to leak and ruin my flooring, I felt very overwhelmed. I called Reliable based on HomeStar reviews and I got exactly the service I needed and expected: Next day diagnostics at no cost, and service the day after that. The problem was quickly identified and the work was carried out quickly, and professionally. The cost was reasonable and not as expensive as I had worried about. I would definitely use Reliable again and have already recommended them. Their service is exactly what all these great reviews state: honest, quick, efficient, fair and affordable.
