Moving Services

I hired Energy Crew to move me from my 1bdrm apartment to a 1 bdrm condo less than 10 km away. I had scheduled for 9am and they arrived at 9:20 but I chalked it up to morning traffic (it was a Thursday). I had 2 movers - one of whom (the more senior employee) was friendly and courteous. The other mover was much less so. Did they get the job done? Yes. Did they do it in a timely enough manner? Yes. Did they seem to take careful care when moving items? Not always. Does the name of the company (Energy Crew) reflect my experience with them at all? Absolutely not. Would I use them again? Probably not.

Move

By far, hands down, the worst move and customer service I have EVER received. They damaged almost every piece of furniture I own. They ate pizza while moving my off white sofa. They were super slow- I have moved a number of times and this was ridiculous. Manager, Treigh, simply does not care. Does not return calls. Does not return emails. When you do get in contact he yells at you. They do not stand by their claims. They do not honour their insurance. They are impossible to reach. They do not like to discuss anything after the move is complete. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS - SO NOT WORTH IT! Be warned.

moving

I'm highly recommending energy crew movers for being very friendly and for keeping my stress level under good control. When I moved a year ago my movers never showed up and the next ones I called came very late. Understandably I wasnt sure who to trust this time so I went with my luck and called this company. I'm soooo glad I did...They were on time and though I was paying 2 men, three showed up and that made a huge difference -- it took these guys 4 hours to move me and they beat their own estimate by an hour. After what I went through in the past, I kind of felf justified to be a little hard on them at first, but I quickly realized it was pointless. They were true gentlemen and they were patient and very understanding with me. I will definitely use them again.

Moving service

We hired Energy Crew to help with our move from condo to home. The crew was very patient - even with an elevator out of service they didn't stress, and worked around other residents who needed the elevator as well. They successfully moved all the contents without any damage. Very happy with their work!

Moving

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Energy crew movers last week. I was very impressed with professionalism and helpfulness of their office. I got a quote 20 minutes after I requested one. all my annoying questions were answered without making me feel like a...child (couldn't use the word I wanted. It's apparently banned) and their website is one of the best I've seen. The crew was very professional and patient with me. 3 movers managed to move me out of my 2 bedroom condo in 4 hours...that's remarkably impressive!!'m very happy I used these movers and I'm very happy to recommend them.

Moved apartments

The move was scheduled for 3.5 hours with 2 men. They were an hour late but called and gave me plently of notice. When they arrived they had 3 men and the move was done in 2.5 hours. These guys worked hard and made moving fun. My fiance and I would def. hire these guys again!

Condo to House Move

Cedrik, Ryan, and Junior showed up on one of the coldest days this winter bright and early at 9am (as promised). They came in and out of the condo quickly and without complaint (though there were some heavier items). The guys worked non-stomped and empty the condo in precision time. We then went to a storage unit where they were equally as quick. On to the house to unload the truck. It was slippery, freezing, and there was no elevator. The guys again were quick with smiles the whole time. The move took 5 hours with 3 guys and everything was moved without any harm to my items (though I think they might have harmed themselves with a few slips here and there). Would highly recommend them. Trustworthy, fast, and hard workers.

Approximate cost of services:
$500.00
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
The more you can do ahead of time the quicker and smoother the move will go (i.e. pack and stack boxes).

quick but painful move

I moved this summer using Energy Crew on the recommendation of a couple of friends. I thought it would be a smooth and easy day, based on what I had heard from friends who were happy with their service. It turned out to be a frustrating experience that is still unresolved, 5 months later.

- they showed up an hour early, and we were unprepared. we ended up moving much of our belongings ourselves as a result.
- they offered 2 wardrobe boxes for our clothes, which were actually not provided on the day of the move. we ended up moving all of our clothes ourselves.
- we requested moving blankets for some of our furniture, which were not provided on the day of the move.
- we paid for 3 movers to help us with all of our boxes, and 2 of them ended up standing outside the truck arguing while 1 guy unloaded.
- we paid almost twice as much as we were quoted (for moving less).
- the movers were careless with our belongings - lots of damage to furniture and boxes
- TERRIBLE customer service. I filled out my damage claim form months ago and have left repeated messages for Treigh, the manager.

The move was quick, but they damaged a lot of our belongings. I'm still chasing them for damage insurance. They never answer the phone or return calls. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Moving Service

Hire energy crew for an October 1st move.

1) 80% of our furniture was damaged during the move.
2) There was an issue getting an elevator key when we arrived at the new location, and instead of moving our belongings into the moving room, or even off of the truck, the crew simply sat in the car for over 30 minutes, idle on our dime.
3) They did not have suggestions, lacked observational skills and any sense of planning or foresight.
4) I found that the crew tried to lift too much and in the process dropped and damaged our belongings.
5) Even the unit we moved into was damaged by their carelessness - the stainless-steel fridge now has dents in it.
6) we purchased mattress-protecting bags and they literally did nothing to make sure that the bags stayed on while moving the mattress -- they were crumpled on the floor when we arrived and our baby's mattress had large, black grease stains from the truck.
7) This is purely speculation because I have no way to prove it but one month later we discovered that our new condo inherited a bed bug problem -- the PCO suspects it could have come from the moving truck.

They were not even the most affordable option, either. I expected more and was thoroughly dissatisfied with the service.

moving 3 bed house

I ordered a 24' truck(confirmed it) , they showed up with a 16' truck. Didn't fit everything, had to leave stuff with neighbours to get later. Broke the legs off a 50's teak sideboard. Took longer than usual trying to fit everything so estimate was off by $200. No response to my complaints. ( guys were nice and polite though).

Approximate cost of services:
$700.00
What could this company do to improve their services?
Better follow up to complaints. Provide vehicle you say you will.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Would have rated higher if they had better customer service and follow up.
