Energy Crew Moving & Transportation

I hired Energy Crew as they were available for a move around Labour day. The quote that I received for my condo-to-house move was $350, which seemed quite reasonable. The online reviews were also quite positive, and the initial customer service seemed polite and prompt.

Unfortunately, the detailed quote (with a list of all belongings/boxes, and details about the distance to be moved) proved extremely inaccurate. We paid over DOUBLE what we were quoted. In reporting this to the head of the company, he reported that he "would look into it" but never got back to us. There was no apology or information about the price discrepancy at any point in this process.

If we had paid this much for a good move, perhaps I wouldn't be so annoyed. First - several of our belongings were damaged. The company pays 5 cents/pound for damaged goods through their insurance, so it was not worthwhile to complete the onerous paperwork only to likely receive a few dollars. Again - an apology would have been nice, but was never received.

In addition, myself and my fiance ended up moving a great deal of the items ourselves. I have NEVER seen a crew move so slowly (of course, they are being paid by the hour). After watching them take 30 minutes to move a couple of boxes, we had to step in and basically move ourselves. To be clear, I'm a relatively small female. Some of the boxes that I could lift by myself quite easily, the crew was using two (extremely large and muscular) men to move.

I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed by this company and their employees. I would not recommend them. They made our moving day more stressful than it should have been, and I regret not just paying for a U-Haul and moving ourselves.

We hired Energy Crew for two moves, one for us and one for a family member, both moves within condos/apts. One mover, Junior, was at both moves and he was super friendly and professional. The moves went very smoothly; the movers were punctual and efficient. Nothing arrived broken/missing. Our large LCD TV was moved without a scratch, but a leather sofa did get a ding in it (luckily in a hidden spot), so I think the movers could have taken a little more care in general. If we had delicate/expensive furniture, I'd have let them know to be more careful/less efficient about it. Overall, though, we were quite pleased with Energy Crew and would hire them again for another move. Communication with head office was also prompt and pleasant.

They arrived on time (maybe even a few minutes early). I have never seen two people more eager or so happy. The temperature that day was horribly warm, but that didn't stop these guys from getting the job done. The estimate was 100% accurate. There were zero breakages. There were a few minor scratches to some furniture, but given the size of the elevator to our new apartment and the width of the front door I would have expected the damage to have been worse. Our last move was a nightmare that took over 8 hours and there were so many breakages it was heart breaking. I really wish I had known about your company back then.

Thank you very, very much for a very enjoyable stress-free moving experience. I will definitely use Energy Crew if I move again and will happily recommend them to anyone I hear is moving. I would give your company 10/10 for everything. Great job!!!

Energy Crew dealt with my move from a house to a large apt. They arrived sharp and did the job fast, but one of the three guys sent to my place started complaining about allergies after half an hour of work. I have cats and apparently he was allergic to them and also to dust! He spent the next 3 hours taking breaks after every box he carried to the truck. He even told me I should have cleaned the house before they arrived! I cannot believe someone with serious allergies to cats and dust is working as a mover. The company should be more careful in screening their employees and also teach them to be tactful in treating the clients.

Moved from 2 bdrm apartment to a house. Although they were about 15 minutes late, they called to advise of the traffic. Once they arrived, they worked quickly and made up time. The final price was actually less than the quote so that was a good surprise. They also did a few extra things such as moving 2 big pieces to the garbage bin at my apartment plus moving a bed/sofa from the family room in my new house to my bed/sitting room. Nothing broken or damaged. Very friendly hard-working men. I would use them again and intend to recommend them to a colleague at work.

I would not recommend Energy Crew. They showed up late and were unapologetic about it. They didn't have all the moving material and had a broken dolly to move my furniture They weren't particularly careful and dinged some of my furniture and walls and some of my belongings went missing during the move.. Their customer service i found is horrible

Having been a 3 times recurring customer , I am consistently impressed by the professionalism of every staff member I have come in contact with. The office staff is especially helpful and courteous. I'm very pleased to recommend this company to anyone.

After bad experiences with movers in the past, I am always skeptical when booking moving companies. However, I found these guys to be very fast, efficient and helpful. Their rates were reasonable and they worked very hard to try and get my bigger furniture in my apartment, staying on after I had paid them to try and get a large sized table through a narrow doorway. I have since reccomended them to a coworker and she was just as pleased with her experience.

The movers were awesome , careful and very fast. The whole move cost half the price of movers i have used in the past.
