We purchased spec-home and made many changes and updates, to fit our preferences, life-style and comfort. On final inspection (prior to closing), there were many issues with quality of workmanship, quality of drywall compound, painting, and variation of hardwood/staircase/fireplace mantle stain. There were also misleading/poor quality items/missing, not installing proper crown molding in kitchen, side panel, electrical code infractions, and installing less than standard central air-conditioning unit. Alter their usually ONE YEAR warranty, Terion protects builder, as a home owner you are the one, who have pay inspection fee, to keep fighting for the jobs to be completed (what should have done, prior to closing).

I regret my decision to purchase a Braebury home in Ottawa. The company might do well in Kingston but here it is poorly run. Bad quality. Wouldn't not recommend.

I never expected a new home could have so many problems.

First New Build, possibly our last. The house looked great on possession date, no visible issues... but then water began leaking around the doors and then the windows leaked. When Braebury came to fix any of these things, they came with a caulking gun and that was just about it. They never looked for a root cause, just wanted to seal it up and move on... hoping it wouldn't leak again or at least until the Tarion Warranty was up. Leaks have resulted in damaged flooring and Braebury tried to say it would fix itself if left alone... well it didn't.. and it was like pulling teeth to get them to come back and fix it. We now have longer term issues related to the leaks and Braebury hasn't acknowledged the problem after we raised the issues 4 times. I would highly recommend against Braebury as a builder, based on our experience and their lack of commitment to actually fixing any problems the right way first.

It really was one of the worst experiences building with Braebury. The attention to detail was not there and when the was a problem there was no help to solve it. Right form when they took our deposit it was us vs. them. A constant battle between us demanding the quality we thought we deserved and the foreman's idea of good enough! Some trade were great Rob Desa and the masonary work was fantastic, roofing and siding as well. The in house trades of painters and electricians were awful. The electrician was angry to work a Saturday so he cut the wire to our chandelier. HVAC people were great as well as mike and the crew from bay ridge landscaping. Kitchen Kraft was a huge disappointment they were unprofessional and disorganized our kitchen was redone three times. I love the neighbourhood but I hate the builder our neighbours had it worse then we had but just ask around town and everyone knows a braebury horror story.

My wife and I were looking to downsize a little and saw an advertisement for Woodhaven. We visited their model home on the weekend, and the salespeople, Marco and Rob, were very well informed and easy to talk to. After looking at the different floor plans, we found one that we loved and a month later, went back to make an offer.
Overall, we're very happy that we went with a Braebury Home and so far everyone's that come to visit has given us great compliments.
We've heard of Braebury before but our first experience has lived up to the expectation.
