Josh, the technical expert sent to repair my furnace during one of the coldest Novembers on record was prompt, very courteous, personable and best of all... He knows his stuff!
Not only did he have the furnace problem analysed and fixed, he also took the time to show me exactly what was wrong and explained to me how I could maintain my furnace to help prevent any other problems. Thank you Reliance-Yanch... And most of all Thank you Josh!!!

I'm a new home owner, and after living through a couple of winters I realized we hadn't had our furnace inspected/serviced for annual maintenance and prevention. I called Reliance, and they were able to book a time that worked great for my schedule. I unfortunately had to change it the day before, and without any hassle they rebooked it to an alternative preferred day for me. On that day, my assigned technician Ian T. called 15 minutes ahead, arrived on time, was very friendly, clean, and respectful of my premises. He also taught me lots about my furnace and the venting systems in my house. His advice alone was worth the money! He performed a thorough job, and paying with my credit card was very easy with the technology they equip. I would recommend this service to everyone. Thank you!

Yanch used to be a great company and I'm sure the service technicians are still good...however...now when you call in, instead of speaking to someone at the local office in Barrie, you get put through to a huge Reliance call centre in Oshawa. Unless your furnace is still under warranty and was bought from them, say goodbye to all of your files/info/previous maintenance records. When I called to book my maintenance appt this year, I asked if they had the date of my last maintenance (thinking it might have even been this Spring) ..no record. I wanted them to bring a filter for the humidifier they installed a couple of years ago. No record. Nothing in my file at all and we have used them at least once a year for the past 7 years. All the down-to-earth, local goodness is gone. Disappeared into the ether, like my files. Another local gem bites the dust. So disappointed.

The tech showed up on time, put on his boot covers and started to work. I told him at the time that his was the most technical service that I had seen on my furnace. we chuckled about the guys who show up with avaccuum and a wire brush. I am confident that my furnace will operate reliably and efficiently over the winter.

Darrick called ahead, was on time. Friendly professional service. Bill was exactly as quoted, not upsell. Explained everything as went along. Trustworthy! Great prices, will be having them install an HRV as well.
