Globe (J D) Electrical Services

Our stove was not working and after checking the electric circuit breaker, I could not get it on as it was tripping. After Calling JD Globe Electric, they tried on the phone to help solve the issue but with no success. There were prompt in sending An electrician, Joe, who was able quickly to pinpoint the problem and solve it immediately. Thanks to Joe and Pierrette at JD Globe for their excellent service. Third times that I used their services for electrical work and they are great. Highly recommended.

We have used Globe electric over the past 5 years (six times) to update the lighting and electrical needs in our 30 year old house.
Don and his crew gave us great advice on what to do and did the work quickly and on-budget. We had one emergency repair to be done and they responded within a day to get the repair done.

We bought an old house in the Glebe and had to remove all the knob-and-tube wiring (basically, we had to rewire the whole house). We are extremely happy with the service rendered by Globe from one end of the process to the other. Pierrette was extremely nice communicating with our insurer and answering (in French!) all of our administrative questions. As for Dennis (the electrician who performed all of the work), we just can’t say enough good things about him: always on time, always super pleasant, always answering our questions and numerous requests (we added many pot-lights and outlets along the way). He and Stefan worked hard, were extremely professional and nice to have around. We will definitely call them back when we’ll do some more renos on the house.

In our (very old) kitchen, we had the wiring updated to code, had six pot-lights installed and a few outlets added. We chose JD Globe Electrical for their amazingly competitive estimate. The electrician was on time and completed excellent work. He also fixed a broken light next to the kitchen that we didn't even mention, without a word. We will definitely use their services again.

Electrical went off and it was -26 outside. I contacted few other electrician and had very bad quote even thought they had not seen the work to be performed. Anyway I contacted Globe in the morning at 7:30 they were here at 08:00 work non stop to change my electrical panel and by noon I had heat back. Great work, clean could not asked better.

We recently moved in to a new house which still had 60amp service. Globe came out and provided a very competitive quote. We also had them install an external GFI plug at the same time. Work was done within a couple weeks (dependant more on Hydro Ottawa), they were prompt and professional. Even taking the time to paint our old down pipe to match the new hardware. They cleaned up, patched the hole foundation holes and used runners inside the house (we have new floors just installed). It was our first time hiring an electrician and we felt they did a great job.

Being new in Ottawa and finally finding a house we could afford, there was work to be done. The superficial stuff, bath tile and paint I could handle, the electrical dating from the mid 1940's I could not. The search for a contractor to bring the house up to current code was daunting. When we stumbled upon the website containing the names of licenced Ontario electricians we were closer to a worry free project.
Once contacted, Globe Electric quickly made time to look at what we required and provided a written estimate of the work. When all details were decided Globe electric made the arrangements to have the service brought up to 100Amps coordinating with the utility ensuring a quick turn-around. The entire electrical of the house was brought up to current standards in two days with a professional and tidy crew. The new holes and wire runs were cut so well that no drywall or painting was needed in any room after they were finished.
I look forward to doing another project with Globe Electric.
