Service/Repair on Furnace

Had serviceman Robert come to assess furnace problem of lack of heat, furnace throwing codes and shutting off intermittently in -25 temperatures. We were using the fireplace and space heaters. Knowledgeable, honest and professional. He was very familiar with my furnace and was honest in his assessment in what the problem was and other ones (which did not need immediate attention). He answered all our questions and was respectful. We had another company come out earlier in the day which we were not satisfied with thus sought out a second opinion. The money we saved in the end was worth it. Would recommend this serviceman to anyone.

Furnace Repair

I'm torn with this company but will likely not use them again. On the one hand the repair person was friendly and efficient and came out rather quckly but on the other hand the price they charged was absoluetly outrageous. I suppose in a supply and demand world we are at their mercy but I've had repair people come out before and not charge nearly the same amount. Not even close by a longshot. What makes matters even worse was that our repair didn't even require any parts. Unfirtunately I could not remember the previous company I used as they were great but since we were in a bind I called Dyand. I will definitely call around next time because we definitely feel we were taken advantage of. The amount they charged us was not comparable to the work that was done.

Furnace replacement

When we realized we needed new furnaces/humidifiers in our house (we needed two) we checked around and decided based on some research among people I knew who had replaced their own furnaces, that we would go with Dyand. I cannot say enough about the service I received and the professionalism of the staff. They were on time and timely in their work. No question went unanswered, and the work ethics of the two Dyand staff that I dealt with was exceptional. I have since recommended Dyand to a few friends and they have also had great dealings with them. I would not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

A/C unit in the home

Had a brand new A/C unit installed in June, and before the end of July I had to thaw the exchange in my furnace TWICE, and flooded my mechanical room. I am now told they did not charge the unit properly with coolant, and this is causing the issue.
Real professionals here...NOT!
The installer also did not have the proper parts with him on install day, delaying the installation.
I guess packing a few duplicate items is out of their scope.
This is the fourth unit we have installed in a new home, and will NEVER call them again.
2 weeks of my messages, emails and texts left see NO response from this company.
I will be filing a complaint wherever I can, but looks as if I have to have another company fix it.

brand new Carrier furnace and air conditioner

I purchased a brand new Carrier furnace and air conditioner units for my house. Prior to purchase, the salesperson was excellent, considerate, and eager to address my concerns. At the time of installation, everything went relatively smoothly. After the installation, I found the after sales service less than desirable. They would show up late for appointments, they failed to return a year later for my one year inspection. There was some uncompleted work from the original installation that I had to call them multiple times for them to eventually come and finish the work. Overall, I am very happy with the end product.... but the after service could have been better. They were quick and aggressive to make the sale, but not good on the followup.

Furnace

DO NOT HIRE DYAND. i got them to instal a new hgh efficiancy furnace. After they left, they left a huge mess in my house. My computer was covered in sawdust. Then when it came time for the inspection, it failed. They ran the exhaust to close the the fresh air intake. The furnace never did run right. I tried several times to contact then, with calls, voice messages, and emails. Not one person replied. So i had to hire another company to fix things. It turns out, the instalation was a disaster. The other company had to replace all the the venting., which most of the joints weren't even glued. They just shoved them together. And the venting pipe was ran so poorly, that it sounded like a tap running, because there was so much trapped water in the pipe. The furnace had to try and push that outside. The furnace wasn't level.. The gas pressure, that needs to be adjusted from factory, wasn't even close. My gas bill actually went up, after they put in a "High Efficiency" Furnace. It took the other company 5 hours to fix their mess. And a cost of $ 550 to me.
I would not get these guys to put air in my bycicle tire. Do not hire these guys. They are one of the worst companies i have ever dealt with.

Furnace Failure

We will be going back to Dyand Mechanical for years to come! Their service department is very helpful and their on call staff was outstanding! Our furnace died in minus 30 weather...their on call staff called and was unfortunately not able to come out for a few hours so instead told us how to keep the furnace running till we could replace the furnace motor switch in the morning when they were opened. It saved us a pricey on call bill and made us decide to purchase our A/C system this year!

Furnace and hotwater tank installation

DO NOT HIRE. I recommended these guys to my mother because of their positive reviews but we're regretting it now. My mother had to take two days off work for furnace and hotwater tank installation which could have only taken one day as the installers only worked until 11:30am each day. The afternoon after they left, the furnace stopped working. She called their after-hours line and they talked her through a quick fix for the night instead of sending someone and told her to call the company at 7:30am in the morning and someone would be at her door by 8:30am so she could still go in to work. She did and was told by "Amanda" she would have to wait her turn. The repair man did not show until after 12:30pm and my mother has lost another full day's wages which she cannot afford after dropping nearly $6000 on a new furnace.

My advice to you is DO NOT HIRE these people unless you can afford to lose several days of pay and have your furnace stop working in the night. Also, if you do hire them, they will want you to pay right away, don't. Withhold payment until you are sure that your furnace is working correctly.

Furnace

We bought a new house and the furnace and HVAC system was installed by Dtand Mechanical. Anytime we have ever had a question with the system we call them and they send someone out as soon as they can. Usually same day. It is nice to know that some places still take care of the customer.
