Family move from Forth Mcmurray to Scarborough

The service was much better than we were expecting from beginning to end, the office staff were very friendly and moving guys worked hard on both days & were experienced & fast. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Many thanks will recommend anytime.

Moving

My scheduled move date was June 28, 2012 from Calgary to Sault Ste. Marie. I called Noble Moving around the beginning of June, to see if I could move the date up a bit. I was informed I could not. Then the agent I talked to said she just wanted to verify my information. Noble Moving had my shipment listed to go to St. Catherins, Ontario instead of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I informed the agent that they had the wrong city and that my stuff was to go to Sault Ste. Marie and the agent apologized and fixed the error.
Nearly two weeks after my shipment had been picked up I still had not received it. I called Noble Moving again July 9, 2012to inquire about the location of my goods. I was informed that my shipment was scheduled for St. Catherins and they were waiting on a truck. I informed then again that the shipping location was Sault Ste. Marie. The agent apologized and fixed the error again. He then informed me that due to the error they had no room on the trucks for my shipment and would have to wait until something becomes available and he couldn’t give me a date. I also gave the agent the address that the shipment was suppose to go to. Later that day I received an email asking for my shipping address again even though I had already gave it to them.

My wife then emailed Noble Moving on July 11, 2012 and gave them our address again. I then called Noble Moving back around July 13 to see if my stuff had been shipped out yet as well as sent another email. The agent I talked to looked into my file and said the shipment had not been sent out to St. Catherines yet. I informed her it was supposed to go to Sault Ste. Marie. She looked into it and accused me of making a mistake. I told her the original invoice I have states the shipment is going to Sault Ste. Marie. She put me on hold and looked into it. When she came back she apologised for the mistake and informed me it was mistake on Noble Moving side, and that the reason the shipment was so delayed was because they made a mistake. She informed me that I would be receiving a discount and she just had to talk to her manager. She also gave me a shipping date that my stuff would arrive July 22, 2012 almost a month since it was shipped. So I made sure I booked off July 22 from work, July 16 I get another email from Noble Moving asking for our shipping information again. We had given them our address over the phone a number of times, given it to them by email and they still are not shipping our stuff out due to not having our address correct. Finally July 18, 2012 I get a phone call from Noble Moving saying my shipment is due to arrive Friday July 20, 2012. When I asked about my discount the agent had no Idea about a discount. He then transferred me to his supervisor. The supervisor was extremely rude and belligerent. He also said there was no paper work on file that said my shipment was going to St. Catherines. I explained to him the above situation and he kept making excuses and trying to change the subject. I eventually got him to take a small discount off my price. He informed me my shipment would arrive July 20, 2012 between 6am and 8am. So I had to book off another day off work. I waited outside my house at 6 am. A general labourer that Noble Moving hired from Sault Ste. Marie showed up at 6 am. We waited an hour and half still no truck shows up. 8am comes and I look outside my house the general labourer is gone but no one has contacted me. I try to call Noble Moving but they are not open until 9 am. 9 am comes, still no transport. I finally got a hold of Noble Moving and they tell me the driver will be there by 10:30. When I inquired about why I wasn’t informed of the time change, the agent told me because they were closed. When I asked how the labourer knew to leave he wouldn’t answer the question. I then asked what happens if the truck doesn’t come by 10:30 the agent told me don’t worry it will be there. 10:45 am I call again as no truck has arrived yet. I get informed it will be there in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later the truck finally shows up. Upon pulling into the drive way the driver of the truck runs over an antique beer barrel flower pot that has been in our family for many years. No apology was giving. The general labourer arrives back at my house and tells me he got a call that said the truck wouldn’t be at my house until 11:00. Again I wonder why I wasn’t called. So I waited from 6am until 11:15am. Once the door of the truck was opened, I was shocked to see how the truck was packed. I could tell there was going to be many items broken. We start to unload the truck and I noticed really quickly that many of my boxes looked broken and extremely beat up. The general labourer informs me that he has moved a few times with Noble Moving and the way they packed the truck this time looks as though they just threw everything in and they didn’t pack it properly. When the Noble Moving agent asked me to sign the credit card slip, I inquired about broken items. He explained you pay now and agree to delivery and if anything is broken to call Noble Moving within 10 days. Due to all the mis truths I was told I singed the credit card slip I don’t agree as well as initialling the charges I put a n for no. On the slips that stated I received everything, I signed I don’t agree. After unpacking everything the driver left without giving me any of my paper work. I have my credit card receipt with my I don’t agree signature. When my wife and I started going through our boxes we noticed a weird trend. All of our boxes that we labelled breakables and fragile were the ones that were beat up. Then we looked at our TV. I bought two $35 boxes from noble moving and had them pack the TV with their moving blanket and their boxes and right in the middle of the box there is a giant hole through both boxes and the screen of the TV. I am no expert but it takes a lot of force to put a hole through a moving box. Now how much force would it take to go through two boxes a blanket and the screen of a TV. Noble Moving also advertises free disassembly of basic furniture but they did not dissemble any furniture instead they packed it as is and as a result all of our babies furniture is wrecked, another broken promise!
As well when I originally talked to the Noble Moving for a quote for my stuff, they asked for a list of my items and quoted me a weight of 2,315 pounds and a total of about 1081.75 plus tax When I received the bill for my shipping they said it was 8,500 pounds, with a total of $4,500. I didn’t ship much furniture, manly clothes, baby items, hangers, and other boxed items, I know there is no chance the total weight is any where near what they billed me for. The driver also did not provide me with any of the proper documentation that I was suppose to receive

Close down as obviously they can't opperate a buisness

Not bad at all!

After reading about Noble Moving, honestly, I was hesitant to use their services. Their prices is what had driven my attention.
When I had called in for my quote, Steve, (my consultant) had quoted me $2045.00 for my move from Calgary - Toronto. Day of pick up everything had gone smoothly, we were told our items would arrive 7-10 days from our departure time. By the time we had arrived in Toronto our goods were there ready to be delivered to our home. Everything was in good condition, Steve was great, (hence the fact that we had to update our information quite a few times!) our items are in one piece, and the job was done safe and sound! For long distance moving, Give them a shot!

Warning regarding Noble moving company-DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS REVIEW!!

The reason why I am STRONGLY advising NOT TO HIRE NOBLE MOVING COMPANY, is the horryfying experience my family had with them. This is a fraud company and should be investigated further. They have 58 complaints closed with BBB in the last 3 years and 44 of them are in the last 12 months. They had 5 complaints in the last 3 weeks. Think about that!!
Our Experience:
1) They showed up at our house 2 days late for pick up; we had packed evverything and taken the day off work but we waited and nobody came, called them, and Alper (owner) didn`t even apologize, he was laughing about it and told us that they decided to come two days later. We had to postpone our depurture and go to a hotel for those two days.
2) we were told (written contract) that our belongings would arrive 7-10 days at Duncan BC. We waited on the 10th day but nobody showed up. We called and they DID NOT TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT ANYTHING! Made excuses why they didn`t inform us, and it was the worst phone call me and my husband have had in our lives.
We were told that they would arrive after 1 week. We have a 1 year old baby and had been sleeping on the floor for several days. Also because we believed them when they said they would deliver after 10 days, we had send everything we had with them.
Nobody showed up after 1 week as well. Called them several times, and they never answered. We started a complaint with BBB after that.
Finally when they took our call, they said that they did not know where our belongings were and they didn`t care. From our research we found out that they are not the ones moving the belongings, they send them by train, and there is another company here that picks up and delivers.
We called the second company and we believe that Noble had told them to tell us that they dont have our stuff, because we kept calling and they say that they dont know anything about us!
We called the police right away. As soon as we mentioned this issue, the "manager" took the call and said exactly these words " Please don`t call the police, we have your stuff and will deliver as soon as possible". Said that would come saturday ( already 20 days of sleeping on the floor). Of course the bill was 3000 more than our estimate on the written contract they gave us originally. My husband wanted to weigh our stuff again and they would not let us. finally they said yes and of course our stuff did not weigh more than the estimate. We requested a new bill, they send it after 3 hours wait. We finally brought back the stuff in the apartment, many of them damaged, bedroom set, kitchen table, bar BQ. We wrote them on the report and also videotaped the whole procedure, starting from weighing the truck. But of course they will not refund for the damage.
If you do care about your family, your belongings and the memories you have in there, DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!! Do not get tricked by few positive reviews that you might see here and there. Companies which you trust everything that you own, should not be good for a few and bad for the majority, it should be the other way around. And do not read the reviews they have on their website, they might not be true.
We didn`t have much time to investigate before we hired them, but we deeply regret that we didn`t read about the sad and furstrating experiences many families had with this unscrupulous company.
When it comes to your family, do not negotiate for unsafety, unproffessionalism. You might think that you will pay less with them but you are mistaken, they will find a way to take more money back from you!!!
They might close down in a few months, but be careful that they might open under a different name!!!

moving

my experience with noble moving was not bad all. I hired them to move my house hold items from Surrey to Toronto , They came on the pick up day and wrapped all my furniture, the guys were amazing actually. They knew what they we were doing and they were very friendly as well . they charged me little under 2000 dollars and they found my total weight around 3800lbs. believe me i did my research before i hired them and this price is very reasonable
The only thing that let me down is they promised me to deliver my items in a week but it took 9 days for them to bring my goods but anyways it is still fast considering it is almost 5000km distance

Move from Peterborough to Calgary

Well were do I begin, I think this company should be investigated by the authorities for misrespresentation and fraud.I too took them at there word and I had the same experiences as Mavis in BC. Told one amount also told that there was 5 wk free storage was never told that storage starts the day they pick up your content, they were to arrive 9 days after they pick up my contents then the excuses came and now I found out that there was a strike for 3-4 weeks and my contents arrived at the end of May needless to day I was informed that the cost now was not $1100 but $1621.00 for additional weight and packing charges etc. thinking I had 5 weeks from the date my contents arrived I didn;t have the extra money so when I had the funds I called to get them delivered and now it is over $1850 and each day it goes up because of storage I am trying to get them delivered but all I keep getting is that day is no good we are booked. I work so I am trying to get them to deliver it on the weekend or I lose a days pay to stay home and wait for them to come.. This firm is dishonest and I would never recommend them and I hope that I can get this mess cleaned up and get my things alot of my contents are from my late husband and I cherish and they mean alot to me, I am so worried now that I have read this reveiw from Mavis. This has been the most stressful time in my life my move to Alberta was to try and get on with my life and I can;t even do that with all this emotional stress. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM....

Moving Services From One Cdn Province to Another -- Simple Right?

Apparently Not--
I have been reading these reviews and I AGREE...it is a BIG MISTAKE to hire this company! My nightmare is not over yet.

Initial contact with the representative is wonderful....unfortunately, promises of emails and phone contact with US, the customer never materialize. Once your goods are in their possession all hell breaks lose.

I was promised an email verifying poundage and cost of my move within 24 hrs of my goods pick-up on Apr 30, 2012 by my representative. I myself had to make the call to Noble, where I was given the weight of 1,092 and my full cost on delivery. Delivery date was unknown at this time. Many phone calls to the company by myself finally netted a delivery date to destination on May 14th, 2012. When the delivery arrived, I was presented with a contract that had been "whited out" and the poundage changed...to 1,920 ...of course this effected the total delivery cost -(close to $400.00 more) and they had tacked on a "warehouse handling fee of an additional $75.00 + tax...total of $483.13 more than quoted (or anticipated)

Did I mention?? They only brought a portion of my goods? We too are on a military base....there are things in those boxes we need. Noble is not concerned. The goods that DO arrive are broken, crushed and smashed. The delivery men have to carefully unpack our small portion, because the load is falling in around them, it is packed so poorly...other people's goods are breaking as my smashed goods are coming out of the truck.

Today is May 25th, 2012. I have been working desperately to set up a delivery time with the scheduling manager "Matthew" for the remainder of my goods. Matthew seems unconcerned that I have not received my goods. He also seems unconcerned that he has no date for there return to me. He mentioned to me today that "CP is on strike and things are backed up here...your guess is as good as mine!"

I explained to him that we would be incurring extra costs without the goods that Noble still had...he was undetered. I asked if Noble would be assuming these incurred costs...Matthew said that Noble would not be.

I asked him if it was maybe wise if I rented another truck to come to Toronto (I was told our goods were in Toronto) and get them ourselves. Matthew said, "Who knows where your 23 boxes are? They could be in BC, or they could be in Toronto...nobody knows at this point?"

REALLY?? No on knows?? "NOW I feel better.....seriously....
DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. Tell everyone you know. They are NOT members of the BBB. These people should NOT be in business doing this to so many people...the stress is crazy
