Dont judge a book by its cover thats all i got toe say! Let me start by saying thank you to everybody at landmart from the start to finish but id like to give a special thank you to Sebastian and to the VP Alan who both were always reachable any time of the day. Sebastian what a amazing guy, he was always around you cant miss the guy!!! Hard worker and great customer service. Always was on top of things haha and always got the job done professionally! if you guys come on here and read all the bad reviews well then go ahead and believe what you read!

Landmart has been amazing to me and my family ya there was a few speed bumps in the road but we don't control the weather and when its going to be -40 outside and when its going to rain.

Everything that landmart needed to do did it beyond perfect and all these bad reviews are people that didn't take the time to get to know everybody (trades) that didn't take the time to come talk to the guys on site and spend some time there!

So id like to say thank you to everybody at Landart

but especially to SEBASTIAN he is the Landmart Super Hero!!!!!

Penny Lane Town homes

this is our first time building our own house. Since day one I felt that the customer service was great. Erin in the sales office was amazing and was able to answers any question I had even when I had dumb one.
Carla from the decor centre was friendly approachable, her eye for design and her knowledge of colors really made my home beautiful.
Once everything was chosen I had the pleasure of meeting the site manager John. He's been able to help me throughout my construction period and now since I've moved in he's been amazing! Every time I had a question a repair he was always to quick in his reponse and delivery. John and his crew are the reason for such a great experience. Thank you guys for all your hard work!

Escarpment Estates

My wife and I purchased our home from Landmart at their Escarpment Estates site. All I can say is try not to focus on the negative reviews. Some people are not prepared to purchase a home from a builder and when things don't go perfect they get up in arms. Bottom line, even if you built your own custom home you would find things you were not 100% happy with. Key players to point out: Victoria and Rae at the Décor center were awesome. Very responsive and helpful. Sebastian on site was great. Always reachable and took a genuine approach to making sure the home was up to our standards. Great job Guys!

Landmart Homes - Escarpment Estates - Grimsby

We elected to purchase with Landmart as a result of the perfect location they were building. Overall we have been happy with the experience and workmanship Landmart has provided, any negatives are a result of their partners.

The process from initially signing papers with Ron Wood to the Decor Centre was painless. Exciting even, Victoria was fantastic along with the rest of the team in Ancaster. We are very happy with our selections and the guidance they provided during that process.

They were on time with delivery and worked their butts off to make sure it was finished. I was local enough to be able to observe the house going up regularly. By the time the house had closed they had a handful of major items to wrap up and they were done by week's end. Being the second house I've bought new, this was acceptable to me and their quick action to make sure we were happy and comfortable was appreciated.

Sebastian has been a total go to guy here at Escarpment Estates. Keeping us abreast of all issues and timelines facing people who needed to come in and fix the small issues within our house, staying on top of the PDI items and our 30 day actionables.

The hiccups we've seen are the result of the trades. It's not the work that's the problem, it's the timeliness of the work. A couple of cupboards are incomplete and still outstanding and Hardwood still needs to be perfected. Both of these trades have been contacted by myself and Landmart with minimal success. It is admittedly frustrating and the reason for not giving them a 10/10. I do have confidence that these items will be rectified in the near future as a result of Sebastian and the team's persistence.

Overall the workmanship looks good, I've had numerous guests (professionals included) comment on the great little additions you find in this house, simple things like deep window wells, tall ceilings and great views as a result of well placed windows.

Don't let the reviews scare you from Landmart, they are standing behind their product and working in a fast paced environment and following up with their customers on a regular basis. With a little more accountability from their contracted tradespeople and they'll have a product people won't be able to complain about.

Escarpment Estates

This was our first home purchased from Landmart homes and I would highly recommend them. The whole process went as smooth as possible, from choosing our options at the decor office to the promised closing date. We were very pleased with the quality of workmanship that the trades displayed. The tile has been done beautifully and the kitchen and bathrooms turned out much better than expected. We were also very pleased with the help provided on-site from the super Ryan and his staff who walked us through this whole process which was very new to me and my family. They also fixed any minor imperfections before our closing date (such as scratches on stairs and nail pops on walls). All-in-all I feel Landmart Homes built a quality product and would have no problem recommending them to family and friends. Great homes! Great people!

Escarpment Estates

After reading all the reviews I was a little cautious about the builder, but we had all our issues resolved either before closing or within a week of closing. The build quality was pretty good in comparison to other builders. We had an issue with one trade and that was the tile company, but Landmard recognized the issues and took it upon themselves to rectify them. All issues were rectified in a timely manner. To this day any issues we have/find we have no issue contacting the builder and they are more than happy to assist. The people at the a decor center were an absolute pleasure to deal with, the office personel always reply back, and the builders while a little difficult to contact directly always follow up. The only way we feel we would have got a more personalized service beginning to end would have been by getting a custom builder. We enjoyed the process of building the house beginning to end, even if there were a few bumps along the way. Thats what you get when you build a house...The end results speak for themselves.

New Home in Kaleidoscope Waterdown

Amar, Kaleidoscope, Waterdown, On.
We had closed our house on Oct 2013. This was our third new house from builder. First two houses are from other builders. As usual like our previous homes from other builder, we had minor issues at the time of closing. 95% of issues was addressed with in first month and rest of them resolved in first three months. Alan V.P. construction is always very helpful to resolve the issues. Now after one year I am very happy with quality of work and great customer service. I am looking forward to buy second property from Landmart in phase2 Kaleidoscope Waterdown

Escarpment Estates

We have just taken delivery of our new home and what extremely disappointing moment. Much like everyone else that has put a review up we are sitting in our new home that feels like a renovation zone. We have walls that are not finished. From what we were told the builder did not put a wall in the kitchen in the right place and had to move the half wall further down so the kitchen cabinets can fit. We have tiles missing in our kitchen floor as well as grout missing. The hardwood floor that we had installed in our great room looks like it been used for many years. There aree scratches and chunks missing all over the place. The site super Ryan (who we have never met even after many requests) told us that the other trades caused it and what did we expect.

There is exposed corner bead everywhere in our house. The painter that came in to paint areas that weren't done painted over them for us so at least it would look better until they came to fix it.
We have holes in our kitchen roof where they had to move the lighting as it was not centered over the island.
Our kitchen cabinets have cracks in them already. They have installed the wrong countertops in our whole house.
Our shower leaks, and is still not completed in our en-suite.
The long list of things I haven't mentioned are still there.
When we have tried to ask for Ryan to call us we get nothing. We have gone as far as refusing to let any worker from Landmart into our house until Ryan decides to return our call or show up.
This companies total lack of caring after they take your money disgusts me. They do not care about anything but taking your money and leaving you hanging.
The person that did our PDI with us actually said " I am disgusted to show you your new home this way".
If you are anywhere close to deciding to buy a home from this company PLEASE PLEASE re-think your decision.
They will leave you high and dry and do it with a smile on there face!

New Penny Lane Town Home - Stoney Creek

Six Months has passed and yet the issues still continue to linger. I've made many, upon many attempts to contact this Builder with no progress, they simply ignore customer's who are vocal that have valid claims due to their poor quality work. A Recap of the issues, The Grout on the outside of the Tiles on the Foyer have all come off, Unfinished Paint on the Wood siding of the Stairs, Unfinished Drywall that needs to be Sanded and Painted, Windows/Sliding Doors all missing Screens (Safety Issue as the Kids can climb out of the Window if left open), Pipes Freeze in Fall/Winter, Piece of Metal Wire is sticking out from the Oak-Stairs), Sloppy Job done on the Pipes in the Powder Room, En-Suite Door Frame is Crockett, Shower Rod Support Handles completely broken, (Was mentioned on the PDI to the Inspector) and it fell last month, Baseboards are Scratched and exposed Screw in Laundry Room, Bedroom Door Stoppers are not aligned with the Door, so the Door hits the Drywall and not the Door Stopper, Sloppy Paint Job through Out the Home many areas missed. Recently my Neighbour and I just learned that Landmart is planning to install a Garbage Pad outside of our Homes and yet no where on the Purchase Agreement Form or any conversation did their Sales Team even mention this. The Original Paperwork provided clearly stated "Green Spaces", nothing about Garbage Pad. Be aware, and ensure your properly (especially a Corner Unit does not house a Garbage Pad and ensure it says a "Green Space" as the value of the Home will significantly drop as who wants to have a Garbage Pad on their property. Seems they failed to disclose this Information. Stay away from this Builder as a First time buyer, they made this process a horrible nightmare. I should have gone with Mattamy Homes or someone better! I am now speaking with my Lawyer along with other neighbours affected by this. Thank you.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Improve it's Communication Skills with it's Customers. Without it's Customers, the Organization would cease to exist.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
If all aspect of trying to reach the Builder in a reasonable way have failed, then the only alternative choice is to pursue legal action if they fail to address the issues.
