Gem Windows and Doors

We replaced the ground floor windows in our Etobicoke sidesplit and we were very pleased with all aspects of the job by Gem Windows. The pricing was reasonable and the installation met all of our expectations. There was also a prompt friendly response to all of our questions.

I was really impressed with the qualty of the sale and service provided, from the attention to making the choice of the door, to the delivery and installation, impressive.Will definitely return for more service when needed.

We were worried about selecting a company to replace 6 windows in our house as there were so many companies to choose from and some window companies have a bad reputation. We selected Gem Windows and Doors based on a referral from a neighbor and we couldn't be happier. From the initial sales call through the installation process, everything went extremely well and everything moved along very quickly. We had our windows in the front of the house and all the basement windows replaced. Walter and his co-worker were wonderful - they were quick, efficient, quiet and got the work done and cleaned up after they were done each area.
All went well and smoothly and they worked until the job was done.
We were extremely pleased with the results.

The installer was experienced and professional. The windows supplied were as per the contract and were installed without problems. The Aluminum capping/trim work was well done with crisp folds and smooth caulking and the result looks great. The windows work well and open smoothly. There was a rain storm that arrived as the last of the caulking was being applied, so the clean up was a bit rushed.

we recently had a number of doors and windows replaced in our home by Gem Windows and Doors. Dave the salesman on the file took the time to come out to our home twice to review our choices and make a number of helpful suggestions while taking all required measuements. He compiled a very detailed,professional quote with a number of alternative choices for our benefit.
Dave then introduced us to Walter who was installer. He again came out to our home on two occasions to measure and re-measure to ensure accuracy.

The installation went very smoothly on te dates specified and within the time lines promised. The installation itself was very competently done with our home left in a clean, broomswept condition.

Overall I am very happy both with the product itself (all of the doors and windows look great and would appear to me to be of top quality)and the service was exceptional from start to finish.Moreover the pricing was competitve with all the other quotes we obtained before going with Gem. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gem to anyone in the merket for replacement windows and doors

My home was built in 1912 and still has the original brickwork and window and door openings. The front door frame was original but the door had been replaced with a wooden door with a small window in the top portion. It opens into a very short hallway and it has always been starving for natural light.

The GEM showroom is located on the Queensway next to Canadian Tire, east of 427 and I have passed by it for years. Dropped in one day in June 2010 and was impressed with the products.

One thing lead to another and a new modern door with a window panel that minimized visual connections but allowed lots of light in.

The installers arrived within minutes of the scheduled time, were courteous, efficient (though dust was created inside the house) but the installation was done professionally and completely to my satisfaction. Within a couple of hours the door was complete and gives a whole different appearance to the look of the house.

It has also helped motivate me to do the many other jobs needed to keep a 1912 home up to date.

I have used GEM twice and found them to be helpful and their price (which includes installation) resonable. They replaced 3 windows (bathroom, child's bedroom and dining room) initally.
The second time we used them it was to replace 5 windows in the living room and master bedroom. Both times they were efficient and willing to answer any questions I had.
I am pleased with the results and just looking at the windows makes me smile. If I have to replace more windows I'll certainly be using GEM again.

Very nice installers that cleaned everything up and left my place looking great! Old doors were taken away and the fellows attending were very polite and efficient in their tasks.
