I got a call from one of their sales representative and offered me a security alarm for my house. I let him explain me all the options they had and he did explain me all the options. I decided to give him a chance to show me first before i make any decision so for the next day another guy came to my house, I believe his name is (Rodney). He was very knowledgeable and went through all the options available. I decided to sign up with them for the GSM Package which Included all the wireless sensors and given me a video surveillance as well. I'm very happy with them so far. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend.

I am currently in the process of having this crappy system removed and replaced by another company. The sensors they installed for "small animals" at a cost of several hundred dollars are worthless. Every time we go away and set the system, our cat triggers the alarm. We had a "technician" come out to investigate and he showed up with no tools and asked if he could borrow a ladder to look at the sensor. Did he not know it was mounted near the ceiling and he would need to bring a ladder?? After an hour and a charge for the callout plus an hour of "labour" he basically said he couldn't help us. This is the worst alarm company I have ever dealt with.

All service companies charge a fee to show up but that usually includes the first hour of work. These guys charged a $135.00 show up fee PLUS an hour at $160 per. The BMW dealer only charges $140. And he suggested i change some 3.6V batteries, for which he charged $18 per ($6.00 each at the store), PLUS installation. These people have you by the shorts and they take full advantage of that.

Not happy with this company. Very poor service or satisfaction. Spent hours waiting on the phone to cancel and then got charged for months after cancellation, with threats to send to collections if not paid. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Exorbitant prices for motion sensor replacement. Technician was in and out in less than 5 minutes to replace my motion sensor (labour $77) and charged me $210 for the cheap plastic sensor that I found out later could be bought online for less than $100. On top of that there was a "minimum fee and/or travel" charge of $128.50 and HST of $54.20. Grand total for approximately 5 min of service was $469.52. Wow.....what a money grab. When I booked the appointment over the phone, was told that "it shouldn't cost more than around $200" as it is a simple job to replace the sensor. They never give you a firm quotation, even after the guy has finished the job. He doesn't know how much it is, and then you get a whopping bill in the mail later. I can't even switch monitoring companies because Chubb has their equipment locked so nobody else can access it.

Last year Chubb Edwards showed dubious accounting and charged me for a police call that didn't happen. They then reversed the charge.
Now they are trying to bill me for another call without supporting documentation of a police attendance to an alarm.
They cannot or will not provide a police bill to them and are threatening collection.
I will pay the bill once evidence of the police call is provided.

I got calls from a foreign call center for installing Chubb Security Systems products in my home. Their partner which installed the products is Smart4u security.

First of all the prices they offered were extremely competitive with everybody else, I called all the other top rated companies listed here. Nobodies price came even close, Chubb Security was at least %30-40 cheaper than the competition. I got an amazing package however the service lacked professionalism & quality.

The equipment, specifically, the camera systems (fosca) are cheap & can easily be bought from the internet from ebay or other Chinese marketers. The installers also not very professional and not up to date with technology, specifically ip networking.

I did sign a contract however I'm not so sure that camera equipment will even last through the contract. Another issue with this company I had to schedule multiple appointments because the installer kept forgetting the equipment & came in the with the wrong paperwork. The staff are also not very knowledge about the security cameras, a simple google search will yield you more info.

I regret signing the contract as I realized during the service the camera systems are very easy to install nowadays. They are all wireless so the only issue is powering them, which can be done if you are a bit handy with tools. I'm also not even sure the monitoring is effective with this company as they are hard to get in touch with over the phone. Call Chubb Security yourself and you'll get voice mails to all their workers.

ADT may have been more expensive, however there customer service was top notch and professional. I had no problem ever reaching somebody or getting my equipment serviced, 24/7.

I recommend Chubb Security and their vendors only if you cannot afford to pay a better company for better equipment, or you are not capable of installing camera systems yourself and looking for the cheapest rate possible.

Update (few months with there service): Rating is still 0 and would not recommend this company at all. I had a issue with my camera equipment & the technician would not come home my home and wanted to charge me over $100 instead. It is also very hard to get a hold of anyone, so customer service is lacking as well.

All potential customers - run from this company. I never experienced such horrid customer service in my life. We actually had to submit a complaint to better business bureau and consumer affairs. To sum it up:
1. Sales reps never call you back when you leave them messages about upgrading your systems. Tried 3-4 times to get to talk to someone, no response from sales people
2. Cost of home monitoring basic service $25 a month, but they charge $300-$400 to replace simple battery which suprisingly stops working every 2-3 years. When I tried to talk to them to see whether they can reduce the charge, the service person yelled at me and hung up on me.
3. When we cancelled our contract, they continued to bill us... Nobody gets back to you when you leave messages or send emails.
You can get better deal anywhere else. I am surprised with this attitudede they are still in business.

Chubb has the worst customer service I have experienced in my career. I have been trying to add something to my contract and give them more business, but cannot get hold of a sales rep. When I get hold of the rep he says that he will get back to me and never does.

after 10+ years of continuous service I called and had my service cancelled with no fuss. a few months later they send an invoice to me for $400 dollars saying I missed payments in 2010! I pay online so the only way I could verify is pay the bank $50 to print previous statements. Without even contacting me they send letters from Canada Legal Refferal to collect. Chubb used to be the main game in town but not anymore. everything seems fine then they come after you for money. STAY AWAY. very poor business practices. there are much better companies out there.
