I want to say thanks to Evan from elite defense security. I needed someone to complete a small job for me which required camera installation. This job was for a camera that needed to be installed on 12 feet garage sofit that I couldn't do myself. I got in contact with Evan through homestars last week and within a few minutes of talking we confirmed a date on when he would come and complete the service. Evan showed up early and within 30 minutes he was done the job. He initially quoted me for an hour of work but charged me for 30 minutes of work. Evan was very knowledgeable and worked with ease and confirmed the placement of the camera before he left. I was very impressed 1) by your prompt and generous time & knowledge to ascertain the essential requirements 2) your recommendation to go to a newer better technology with the PARADOX system, 3) the next-day you returned to install a new mother board as the very old DSC board was locked out by a previous trade that held the essential master code, and in any case, was not up to current standards 4) the quick replacement of a new mother board at a very reasonable cost, and the installation of 2 new wall Paradox Panels along with a few other improvements. 5) very pleased to learn that, as we live and work at home 95% of the time, we can pay for monitoring our home when travelling, at $33 per month without having to buy a yearly contract. 6) your suggestion to install new smoke detectors as ours were well past expiry dates and 7) generally VERY pleased with your friendly communication and technical skills, and protecting our interests in every aspect. 8) your VERY reasonable total cost for the well overdue update and meeting safety requirements. 9) and finally, my best wishes for continuing success and growth in your business endeavors. I hired Evan to fix phone and alarm wiring at my elderly Mother-in-law's after switching her home phone & Internet to Rogers Ignite. Unfortunately, doing so left much of the house without phone extensions, as, post-upgrade, the only dial tone comes out of the back of the Rogers modem, and the modem was disconnected.

Evan was easy to book, arrived on time, and was able to problem-solve to reconnect the alarm system and all other house extensions so things were working better than before. He cleaned up & labelled messy wiring, and suggested a Powerline option to reroute the wired internet from the basement to the upper floor, avoiding the cost and mess of pulling cable through the house.

Overall, I was impressed by Evan & Elite Defense, and I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend him in future for any type of alarm, cabling or A/V work!
