Chubb Security Systems

RUN! After using Chubb for 9+ years, on a credit card prepayment plan, they missed a billing from 2 years ago -- sent us a past due bill threatening to damage our credit rating and discontinue service. After multiple calls -- no one could resolve the issue. I now have a new system being installed with monthly monitoring at 1/2 the price of Chubb. I would NEVER recommend this company to any individual or business.

I recommend avoiding Chubb Security, and wish I had (I seem to be stuck with it, as others cannot take over this terrible system, which I paid thousands for). Chubb charges a lot for a system, and then charges HUGE amounts to service, which is required often. Get ready to spend $300-400 per visit, even if it just changes a battery. I fully expect I would be killed waiting for the emergency response people to answer an alarm, given how long it takes for them to answer when reporting a false alarm (you get a lot of alarms, because the system is not good). And don't get me started on its accounting...

I have a love / hate relationship with Chubb. They are good at what they do and were very professional when they came in to do the installation and any maintenance required on the system over the years. I have it to protect my door and a number of windows. However, they charge $82 per call per 1/2 hour which is a lot. I am thinking their are cheaper security systems out there but I have used them for so long and they haven't annoyed me enough to change providers.

Have their system installed a number of years ago. equipment was becoming outdated, and needed to be replaced., at a huge cost.
Service was always good, but you never knew if you were truly being monitored. Changed companies at a much redduced cost and can actually speek to a rep if alarm goes off.

A recent service call from Chubb Security Systems resulted in prompt attention, courteous treatment and a fast resolution to the minor problem that had been caused by a builder error. Even though Chubb did not cause the problem they offered a speedy solution at no charge!
