Alexanian Carpet & Flooring

We signed a Contract to have old carpeting and underlay removed from a 3 level staircase. The purchase included installation of new carpeting and underlay. Total cost of the contract was $3,774.74, with a $2,000 downpayment.
During removal of the old carpeting and underlay, there was a bit of grumbling as that carpeting had been glued to the stairs (metal stairs) and we were told that was "foolish". Should mention that we had absolutely no issue with the old carpeting, other than it was starting to wear after 17 years of use. New carpeting and underlay were installed without use of glue. No complaint about the installers as they were fast and efficient. Our issue is however that the new carpeting in no way looks as neat as the old carpeting did. Nor does it fit as tight and will require finishing work outside of what was done by Alexanian. The installation of the new carpeting was done over a 2 day period. Alexanian accessed our Visa and removed the final payment ($1,774.76) the day before the work was finished. To this day, no follow up from Alexanian regarding the work completed. So much for Customer Service.

We were shopping for an engineered hardwood floor and found the one we wanted at the St Catharines store. We received solid service and advice from Said and felt confident that we were getting a great floor for a reasonable price. When the crew showed up to do the work they did an excellent job in the one day they said it would take. I actually accidentally damaged a piece of nosing that had been dropped off for the job and Said came the next day personally with a new piece. They cleaned up thoroughly and left behind a great looking floor and two satisfied customers. I have never written a review about any service or product but felt compelled to do so in this case. I went Alexaninan Carpet to get a quote for the purchase of luxury vinyl planking for my basement floor (approx. 850 sq.ft). There I talked to Shane who was very knowledgeable and who even recommended I purchase a less expensive product, than what I had originally picked out, based on the how little the basement was going to be used. The next day he came out, measured the basement and again gave me some good suggestions. Ali and his crew then did an excellent job of installing the floor. I'm very happy with the way the floor turned out and would highly recommend Alexanian carpet for anyone needing new flooring.

I dropped my oriental carpet off at Alexanians St Catharines on August 6,2020, and am still waiting for it to be returned on September 2, almost a month later. I have had a call from their head office telling me that it would be delayed and they would let me know when to expect it. However, they haven’t called me back, even after I called them twice.. When I called the St Catharines store, they just put me through to the cleaning dept. and I got a message saying all of the lines were in use. This is the second time I have sent my carpet there for cleaning and experienced a delay in getting it back. I am now so frustrated that I will find another cleaning service the next time I need to have a carpet cleaned. Having to wait a month for service and not getting any answers is unacceptable.

From the moment that we walked into the store after hearing the ad on the radio, we were treated wonderfully. David explained the different options and even came to our home with samples to ensure that we picked the right colour. He arranged for Derek, the Installer, to check things out before the job started. Derek and Michael were great, not only did Michael do a fabulous job working with a crazy amount of angles but our place was tidied up each day before they left. Derek problem solved a sticky situation and David checked to make sure that everything was going well. In short, the Team was outstanding and all being accomplished during the Pandemic!!!! THANK YOU!!!

We are very pleased with our new hardwood floors from Alexanian. Frank from the Toronto Dufferin store (4884 Dufferin St.) was very helpful. From our first phone call, to assisting us in the store, and coming to our house to measure and provide us a quote, Frank was pleasant, up front and honest.

Frank sent a a wonderful team led by Hakan to install our hardwood. Hakan called prior to arriving, arrived on time, worked extremely hard, was polite, efficient and installed our hardwood beautifully. Hakan and his team even stayed late to finish our largest room all in one day (approx. 500 sq. ft). The floors look wonderful. We couldn't ask for more!

Val at the Burlington location was helpful in selecting our carpet and getting us a good price. Installers were on time, pleasant, helpful and did tidy work. Ken the installation manager helped us in a timely manner when we had a question during the install. We would use Alexanian again and would recommend their services.

My wife and I had our initial meeting with Harout from the Alexanian store in St. Catharines back on June 4th at our home. He came to view our renovation plans and take some measurements. We intended to replace our 4 bedrooms with a combination of hardwood flooring and carpeting. Plus replace all carpeting in family room and stairways. He provided some samples plus we visited the showroom to view additional options. Harout was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Once his competitive pricing was received we clearly decided to go with Alexanian’s in St. Catharines to complete our flooring work. On July 13 to 15th, the work was completed with professionalism and integrity. The installation team was top notch and a great bunch of guys. The work completed was of excellent caliber. Not very happy with Alexanian. They had one guy in to do our main floor hardwood and he left some scratches on the new floor, I'm guessing as he was the only one there to work so he had no help moving furniture.

I recently got all the carpet in my townhouse upgraded at alexanians upper James location. They moved all furniture, took away old carpet and installed all new carpets in bedrooms and all stairways. I'm pleased with the quality and price. Sales was informative and responsive. Installers were professional and friendly. Work was done well. All furniture was put back. No damage , no problems. I would recommend them to friends!
