I emailed TES with a photo of my rusty heat pump and a concern about a mildewy smell. They replied very quickly and Gary came out within a couple of days and did an amazing job. The cleaning was very thorough and eliminated the smell completely. He pointed out a few helpful things to look out for in my system and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I found him very knowledgeable and friendly, as well as professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with Pierre and James of Java Electric. They were super friendly, professional, and the work they did was on time and well within our budget. We hired them to replace the remaining knob and tube wiring in our new home and they did a fantastic job of running new wire where necessary, installing new fixtures, and bringing everything up to code (the previous owners had left a mess of ungrounded and improperly wired amateur wiring). We can sleep easily at night now, knowing that the wiring in this 100-year old house is finally modern and safe! I have to add that Pierre and James went way beyond the call of duty and took care to keep us informed. It was a real pleasure to see them work together. For those worried about a mess -- don't. They left the house absolutely dust-free and were tremendously respectful of our space. I really feel like they treated it like they would their own homes. The price was extremely fair and we are thrilled with the value we received and the quality of the work. We look forward to hiring Java again for other projects in the near future. To tell you the truth, we miss having Pierre and James over! Absolutely top-notch professionals and the most decent people you will ever meet.

We ripped up the carpet on the stairs when we moved in and realized half the stairs were fine, but the landing and up were just awful (see photos). This house is nearly 100 years old and those stairs looked like it. We called NewRidge and got a reasonable quote in a prompt fashion from Scott. We wondered whether it was possible to install new stairs and a landing over the ugly ones to match the grain and colour of the first flight. Joe installed the stairs in an efficient and excellent manner. He corrected the backwards tilt of the staircase due to settling and finished the job in half a day, including a thorough clean up. Sebastian then did the staining and varnishing. We cannot express how grateful we are to him for taking the time to carefully match the colour. Af first it looked great, but then dried to a lighter shade overnight. He returned the next day with a new stain and redid the entire job! This time it was dead on -- you cannot tell the difference between the two stain colours (one applied in 1921 and one applied this week!)). We appreciate his dedication to his work and to ensuring customer satisfaction. It seems like a miracle to us. Sebastian even quickly sanded and varnished the old stairs for no extra charge to freshen them up compared to the new ones. This made the job really complete. Our staircase is a beautiful and seamless mix of new and old. We love the colour, we love the satin finish, and we love the sturdiness and quality of the new stairs. Cheers to NewRidge's team of helpful, prompt, and dedicated employees. We couldn't have had a nicer experience! Highly recommended.

We were worried about asbestos in the plaster walls of our house. Lilja came out as soon as possible and gave us lots of good advice regarding testing and remediation. We got the results quickly and she continued to respond to our questions about the results, which put our minds at ease. Great customer service, fast turn around, and Lilja is just super friendly and helpful!

We did two inspections with Carson-Dunlop and were very happy with both inspectors. I'd like to especially praise Steve E. for the thorough job he did on the home we ended up buying. His report was clear, easy to understand, and he took the time to answer our many questions on site and even weeks later when something or other would occur to us. Top notch. Yes, they may be a little more expensive, but you get your money's worth and peace of mind. Also, the book that comes with each inspection is easily worth $50 - $100 on its own.

AA Waters and Brookes impressed from the start by being the only company to actually call back and respond to inquiries -- and that includes many of the other "top rated" companies on HomeStars whom I called. Allan and the office staff were helpful, polite, patient and willing to work around my schedule. When Allan showed up to give me a quote he took his time to measure, calculate, and explain the job to me; I appreciated this a great deal. He clearly knows his stuff and the material they use is of the best quality (I did a lot of research on sprinkler systems before embarking on this project and everything Allan does matches up to what I've read of best practices in this industry). The workers showed up on time and worked very hard to get the job done. There were a few minor adjustments to be made and these were accomplished quickly and professionally a few days later. Allan took the time to check the work and ensure my satisfaction. The system works great and my lawn and gardens have never looked more lush and beautiful -- this professionally designed and installed system has made my home stand out among a sea of brown and dying grass. I would not hesitate to recommend AA Waters and Brookes and in fact my parents are now installing a system at their house. Top notch value for your money.
