We have used the lawn services provided by Hometurf Lawn Care for a few years now and have been very happy with their services. I find them to be very customer service oriented and I have signed up again for their services for next year.

Two years ago I had DoctorScreen replace all the screens in our sunroom. John did an excellent job at that time. Early this spring a determined squirrel decided he wanted to get into our sunroom and chewed holes through every screen. Called Greg and he arranged to have John return and replace them all again. John was here today and did another excellent job. Was finished in less than 2 hours. Left our place all neat and tidy when he was completed. I appreciate the good service and the great workmanship.

My washing machine stopped half way through a cycle and wouldn't go into a spin to pump out the water. I called General Appliance Centre at 12:45 pm and he told me he would be at our home between 2 - 4 pm. At 2 pm our doorbell rang and the serviceman was here. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a defective lid switch. He went out to his truck and returned with a new switch and my washing machine was up and running again by 2:30 pm. We have used this company in the past to repair our refrigerator and we experienced the same good service at that time.

We arrived home at noon yesterday and discovered the circulation fan on our furnace was trying to start but was just humming. I called for service, fully expecting we would have to wait until the next day for service due to extreme hot weather we've been having but was surprised when told a service representative would come to our home some time between 2 and 6 pm that afternoon. It was a real surprise when the serviceman arrived around 2:30 pm. He proceeded to diagnose the problem and then had the correct fan motor in his truck. He installed the motor and our equipment was running again by 4:30. That was excellent service.

I had my second purchase from George Kent Home Improvements (a new patio door) installed this morning and must say that once again I am very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the contractors employed by them. Lonnie & Matt arrived at my home this morning and after explaining to me what they would be doing they proceeded to complete the job in a timely and efficient manner. When they were finished, other than having a nice shiny patio door to look at, I would not have known they had been at my place. They were pleasant and did a fine job - even helped me, a senior, re-hang my vertical blinds.

We had had another contractor rebuild our front entrance steps and change the drainage from our front eavestrough however each winter our steps would heave and the stone work cracked and came loose. We were put in touch with Markus Knecht to rectify the problems. He had no problem quickly identifying what was causing the problem. They had to completely remove the steps installed by the previous contractor and then they dug down to below the frost level and installed a new below-ground drainage system that took the water well away from the step area. They then rebuilt the steps, doing a very professional looking job. We have not had any further problems with our front steps over the winters. We would not hesitate for a moment to call them back next time we need any stone or landscaping work.
