I’m so happy I called Sharon at Stor-X to help me build storage into my new condo. I downsized - from a big house to a much smaller condo. The condo is perfect - but not much storage space. I didn’t want to buy furniture for the master bedroom - I wanted to keep things sleek and clean, but the reach in closets didn’t allow for much storage. And even though I sold and donated a lot of my clothes, I still have a pretty significant wardrobe - with all of Calgary’s season’s - who doesn’t? Sharon measured the space and proposed a couple of great solutions - he really listened carefully to what I needed - and then drew up a plan and allowed me to take a look at in in 3D. It looked great on the laptop, but I wasn’t sure what to expect when it was all finished. Sharon arrived on time on delivery day and had the whole closet and some extra shelves on the wall built and ready in far less time than I expected. It looks so fantastic!! There are drawers and lots of shelves and a fully lined jewelry drawer, as well as built in shoe racks that are really amazing. For the first time in my adult life, I can store all my shoes in one room!! I am so incredibly pleased with my new closet and the quick and thoughtful service of Sharon and his team. I couldn’t be happier!!

I am selling my property and the buyer's home inspector spotted a loose shingle on my roof that had likely been dislodged by the wind. I spoke to Amanda at Done Right Roofing as they had installed my roof about five years ago. She had one of her team out within the week to replace the shingle and to inspect the roof for any other issues. They took photos, documented what they found and prepared a complete report I could share with my buyer. I should note here that aside from that one loose shingle - everything was still in excellent shape and holding up extremely well. I can't thank Done Right Roofing enough, not only for the installation and great work, but for their impeccable follow up service. They are a pleasure to work with - very polite, knowledgeable and prompt. Do not hesitate to call them if you need a new roof - they stand by their product and their work.

This is at least the third time I've called Instant Plumbing to help me with various tasks around my house over the years. I recently sold my home and the buyer wanted a number of small issues addressed before possession. Anthony came out, was friendly, informative and explained the work he was going to do. He even showed me where the buyer had misdiagnosed a problem which saved me a great deal of money. Every time I have called Instant, they have sent out a careful, respectful and friendly staff member - Anthony was no exception and an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very neat and respectful of my belongings and my time.

I'm selling my house and the buyer wanted the central vac to be operational. This is an old unit - more than 25 years old - and I wasn't terribly optimistic that anyone could make this old vac work well again. I called Michael at Superior Vacuums and he sent John to take a look at it. John snaked it out, replaced some poorly designed parts and not only got the thing operational again - it works GREAT!!! Fantastic, helpful, on time and reasonable rates - these guys are amazing. I am so pleased with their service!!

New windows needed new shades! Tom made the selection process easy - we found the right colour and style in no time. Installation was quick and I'm very happy with the product, the price and the service. I will call Tom again when it's time to upgrade the master bedroom shades!

I have a 25 year old duplex and began noticing drafts coming from my windows in several rooms. A buddy of mine at work used Lux to replace his windows and raved about them, so I gave Lux a call. Steve came to my house and gave my an overview of the products to consider and then sent me an estimate for my windows - even telling me which windows could wait a while longer to be replaced, since I didn't have quite enough in the budget to replace them all. I went to the showroom to make my final selections and even that was a pleasant, low pressure experience. When Carlos and his team came out for the work, they were friendly, neat and very professional - and when they were done they returned my house to me the way I left it. They were flexible with my schedule and were quick to answer any questions I had. My new windows look fantastic, my home is much quieter and there are no cold drafts! Overall, I am more than happy with the work I had done by Lux Windows. Very well done.

I sent Rob a few photos of trees I needed removed through their website. He promptly got back to me with an estimate on the removal. Two of his team arrived within a week. I was expecting it to take a while, but these two friendly, knowledgeable men had the three trees down, mulched and stumps ground in less than an hour. They answered all my questions, gave me some great tips and were just so friendly and pleasant to deal with. They also said the actual work was less than the estimate as they were able to better judge the size of the trees in person. Bonus!! I have recommended Rob and his team to some of my co-workers. I was really happy with their work.

When my former snow removal company went out of business, I had to find a new snow removal company. I travel a fair amount and wanted to be sure my drive and walk were well looked after. I found that Superyards was located not far from my neighborhood and bases on their one very positive review (at the time) on Homestars, I decided to give them a try. I couldn't be happier with their work. Jon, the owner, answers every email promptly and he and his team have done an excellent job maintaining my property. They usually come fairly quickly after a snowfall and they return as often as needed to keep my drive, steps and walkway clear. We haven't received very much snow so far this year, but I am grateful that I found Superyards - it just means one less thing to worry about.

I found Murray right here on Homestars and after contacting a few tilers, Murray was the first to give me an estimate. He was friendly and showed me examples of his work and even gave me suggestions on color and type of backsplash to choose with my new quartz counter. He completed the work this past weekend and I couldn't be happier! It looks better than I ever imagined and he even added some lovely edging to the tile that makes it look even more polished. Murray, was friendly, very neat, very honest and an absolute pleasure to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone wanting gorgeous tile work completed and I would hire him again myself in an instant!!

Add another happy customer to the long list at Granite Guys. Walter was a great help helping me select the right color of quartz and very mindful of my budget. Kevin and Brandon performed my installation quickly and neatly and were very friendly and neat. The front office staff/accounting department were friendly and sweet and very accommodating of my schedule. I couldn't be happier with Granite Guys. They surpassed my expectations!

I found Done Right on Home Stars and totally agree with their high rating. Darcy came to my home with an estimate explaining my options very carefully and provided plenty of follow up to make sure I was happy every step of the way. The work was scheduled while I was away and when I returned home it was hard to tell they had even been there - my yard and driveway were spotless! My neighbour was so impressed with the work, he hired Done Right as well! I would recommend them to anyone. Excellent work, great service and very pleasant people to deal with - I am so glad I chose them.

After struggling for a number of years with overgrown and hard to manage landscaping, I gave Kari at Bedworx a call. She quickly gave me an estimate that worked WITH my existing landscaping yet made it beautiful and low maintenance. She and her team are hard workers and they did a beautiful job - exactly as she had laid out for me in the estimate. I found her prices to be reasonable and she gave me a number of suggestions for perennials which have added so much color to the yard! Very happy with her work and her suggestions!

I called Jason and asked if he could install a garbage disposal. He walked me through the various products he had available and I chose the one I thought would be best for my needs. We made an installation appointment for later in the same week - which I was thrilled about. Jason was very prompt, friendly and tidy. The job was done in less than an hour. He cleaned up his working area, walked me through the operation of the unit and told me to call if I had any questions or problems. Before he left, I asked him to take a quick look at another of my concerns with the idea I would book him again to return if need be. He took a look at what I thought might be a problem and assured me that the work had been done correctly - even though it wasn't his work and he could have likely booked a second appointment with me. I was very satisfied with his service and am really happy with the new unit. I would certainly call A Better Way again for any plumbing needs.

I had been putting off having my ugly track lighting replaced because I thought there would be too much damage to the ceilings. 4 Star did an amazing job updating my lighting - it looks so good and no holes to fill or detract from the lovely lighting. Very pleased with the service, the options I was given and the professional manner of the two gentlemen who did the work. It looks so good!
