Will was super quick to respond to my request to repaint our front door, re-caulk around our bathtub and re-glue some tiles that had separated from our bathroom vanity base. He provided a cost for each separate job - all were more than reasonable. He showed up at the scheduled time and went about getting it all done - including colour matching our paint for the front door. He even brought a fan to speed up the drying of the paint. It was clear to see that he took care of the projects he was working on vs rushing through anything. He was also happy to explain how he was going to tackle our badly chipped front door - just to set my expectations and ensure I agreed. It was all I could ask for in a handyman. He got back with a quote quickly. Came when he said he would. Did everything I asked and with care and was super easy and pleasant to deal with. I won't hesitate to call Will again for other jobs that come up around the house. Super reliable and great to know he can take on just about any household task.

It was just a delight to deal with Enrique. He replied to my call within 1 day. Came by to give me a quote the following day and showed up right on time to do the job when scheduled. It wasn't a super big job but Enrique took the time to understand what I wanted from the pruning (get rid of overhang on roof + shape the tree + still have a great aesthetic). When he said "I know what you need me to do" I had all the confidence in him. The day of the job he came by with one other crew member. He had to block my neighbour's driveway with his truck but he said he would knock on their door to let them know. That was so great to see as he appreciated my relationship with my neighbour (turns out the neighbour asked him to fix a few of their shrubs that were damaged in a recent storm!). Enrique took good care moving my BBQ and patio furniture out of the way to do the job. Checked with me a few times to show me what he had done and to ask what I thought. When he was done he put everything back as he found it and did a great clean up. He even cleaned out one of my eaves where some of the leaves had gathered. Overall, my tree looks exactly as I had hoped and Enrique was a delight to deal with - and my neighbour was super happy with the work Enrique did on the spot as well. I highly recommend Enrique for anyone looking for someone friendly, knowledgeable and super professional for any kind of work with their trees.

We got a new light switch, just a basic one but were not able to figure out how to install it properly and we don't like to mess with electrical. I called Ion at 6 pm Sat night. He came by promptly at 11 am Sunday as scheduled. He resolved a few issues with the wires in our light box and then got everything working - all in under 30 mins. He left our situation better than it was before and was very friendly. He even let me hang out and bother him with questions about what he was doing (I am always curious). He clearly knew what he was doing and I will not hesitate to call him again for any future needs. This was a simple job but he took care to make sure that everything was safe and functioning properly and even went to the effort to make sure the face plate was even more flush to the wall then originally - a sign that he cares about everything. Definitely would recommend based on my first experience.

My old cast iron boiler was 32 years old and the last thing I wanted was for it to die on me and be forced to buy a new boiler in a day or two. So, over the course of 2 months I did an exhaustive search to find the right boiler and the right company. If I was going to spend $10K or more I wanted to do my homework. I checked out a number of very highly rated companies on Homestars. They were are very quick and pleasant to deal with. But Accuserv was head and shoulders above everyone else. First, they were the only company that 100% knew how to deal with my exising radient heating system in my basement. Others had workarounds or needed to bring in someone else. Second, they were the only ones that actually specified every single component that I would be getting. They even were able to itemize each one to show why they chose that component and why it was the best one. Third, they were the only ones that gave me 100% confidence that it would be installed properly. My research showed me that 99% of boiler issues were from improper installs. Accuserv really demonstrated that they understood everything about the proper installation. Further, the prefabricate most of the build at their own shop. Fourth, they were the ONLY ones that offered me a significant warrenty on both the service and parts - 12 years! It was important to me that the company that installs this stands behind both the products they sell and the installation. Most other companies just offered 1-year on service and the manufacturer's warrenty on the parts. Further, Accuserv's warrenty is on every single piece that they built...not just the major components - all of it. Fifth, they were the only company that gave me the option of running my exhaust directly outside my home (vs going through my closet). They knew exactly how to do this. None of the other companies knew how or wanted to figure it out. And it worked out great! Sixth, Vlad, who I dealt with for over a month prior to signing on, was amazing. He responded quickly to all my questions and explained everything to me. He also made it clear that Accuserv only uses the best equipment and doesn't take shortcuts just to hit a budget. If they are going to warrenty it for 12 years, they want to nail it. To me, that is the approach that I was looking for. Plus, they dealt with many different boiler manufacturers so they never badmouthed any other brand and made sure to chose the brand that was right for my needs and my house. Finally, the crew did an amazing job. Eric and his team were super nice and very organized. There were probably 8 different folks from the Accuserv team that came by during the day to help. At the end of the day, after all my research, the Accuserv team did not let me down and delivered on everything they promised. They get my highest recommendation. We've used Lehel and his crew a few times now, each time with great results. Initially, Alliance did the installation of new laminate flooring when we renovated our entire basement. The work was done on time and looked great. As it happened, over a year later we had some water damage in our basement. Given our initial good experience we called Alliance to see if they could help with the repair. Glad we did! Alliance was extremely responsive and came by quickly to remove all the boards that got damaged. After letting the floor dry, they came back, as promised and on time, and put down new flooring. They even were able to use some of the boards we had left over from the initial job to help save on the total cost. Overall, on both occasions we had great experiences both in service, responsiveness and quality. Highly recommended. Thank you!

This is was my third time using Mister Plumber and I will keep coming back because Vlad is so responsive, very straightforward and always shows up and does the work on time as promised. Last summer we had a lot of rain and power outages. We have a sump pump but it will not work without power. I called Mister Plumber because we wanted to have a back up pump for piece of mind when the power goes off and for when we are away. Mister Plumber came on time, were very friendly, got the work done quickly and explained how it all worked. I will continue to use Mister Plumber as my go-to resource for my plumbing needs.

First, Alliance did an amazing job on the original installation of my laminate floor in my basement over a year ago. They were recommended by my contractor and from A to Z it was a great experience working with them. So, when our pipes backed up in our basement and flooded our floor, I did not hesitate to call Lehel. He was super quick to send someone over (next day) to remove the damage pieces of flooring. It was all done very professionally with care to save as many pieces of the laminate as possible for future use. We had to wait a week to let the floor dry out and then they sent someone else to put new laminate back in and touch up a few other bits along the way. We were extremely pleased with the service and the work and delighted that they took such great care. A pleasure to deal with, great products and fast, friendly service - I would recommend them in a heart beat.

I agree completely with the A+++ reviews. Our drain backed up resulting in lots of water flowing onto our basement floor. It was at about 11:30 pm. I called Mister Plumber based on the Homestar reviews and they explained to me very calmly what could have cause the problem and that coming out that night would not solve anything as they would need daylight to really see what happened. The said they would send someone first thing. Igor arrived the next morning promptly and, before he did anything, made sure to tell me what he planned to and what it would cost. Once I agreed he proceeded to figure out what went wrong. He was more than happy to have me tag along and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He was very friendly. Once he discovered that our tree roots had cracked open our outside drain he first made sure that I saw the problem. Then he assured me that they could get it all repaired the next day. Without a hitch, they showed up the next day and got it all taken care of, all the while making sure to return my front lawn to it's original state. It was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

If you are like me, the thing you fear most about undertaking a big job is that your contractor is going to make your life hell, instead of delivering on your dream. From Day 1 Mike stood out as a guy that, above all others, was going to make our dream happen. I contacted Mike and three other top rated folks from HomeStars. Mike was the only one that a) came on the day he said he would, b) got me an estimate when he said he would, c) provided an end-to-end list of all the work that was required without any "let's wait and see" bits. And all with a smile and a great attitude. Mike, Aldo and their crew completely demolished our basement to discover that the previous renovation (a prior owner had dug out the basement) was a shambles and we were now going to need to underpin, get another permit and...completely re-wire our 2nd and 3rd floor. They showed me everything that was wrong and showed that it was very important to them that I understand. This also explained why we continued to get water in our basement even after waterproofing from the outside. I tell you, I am so glad I chose Sonoma because they didn't flinch. In less than 2 days they revised the quote to include the extra work and after 2 days of being really nervous that this was going to break the bank, they came back with a quote way below what I was fearing. Even more, they actually started all this new work in a matter of days. Unreal. This could have been a disaster for our plans, but Mike and Aldo took it all in stride and made it all good..and smooth. This is the kind of peace of mind Sonoma brought through the entire project. After that, I had no concerns and knew that Mike was going to simply take care of everything and anything else that needed to get done. Valerie wanted me to make a special point that Mike got our laundry machines up and running again very quickly after the initial demolition and had us doing laundry all throughout the renovation - even coming in on weekends to make sure the machines were all hooked up. That's the kind of attention we got throughout the entire job. Mike made excellent suggestions to us along the way in terms of laying out the basement and made putting in floor heating, new windows, new wiring and removable railing as painless as it could be. The crew he works with was always friendly and did a fantastic job. At the end of the day we ended up with a fantastic basement, and a great experience working with Mike, Aldo and the rest of the team. I just doesn't get any better than this.
