On March 17th 2013, we met Ryan at his booth at National Home Show, he operates under a different company name at that time: Total Inserts Ltd. One week later Ryan came to our house and we agreed on product and cost and installation date, we went to the bank and gave him $500 cash deposit per his request. On the installation date March 28th, Ryan failed to come and blamed flat tire, it was suspicious without any background noise when he was calling from 407 highway. We googled Ryan's phone number, immediately several complaints showed up, there were product/installation/billing issues from the source including Home Stars and BBB. We contacted Ryan with these findings and he denied. We decided to give Ryan second chance and requested detailed agreement and warranty information prior to installation, but Ryan failed to provide. During the same time, we contacted another two companies we found on Home Stars, after seeing the actual door inserts we ordered from Ryan, we realized that Ryan gave us wrong information on product: 1. no privacy vs total privacy (Ryan) 2. mass produced by factory vs custom made (Ryan) 3. Made in China vs Made in Canada (Ryan) We were actually glad that the door insert was not installed. On April 6th, we informed Ryan that we did not want to go ahead with installation and requested refund of deposit, Ryan agreed to deliver the already made custom side panels and refund partial deposit subtracting occurred cost (with itemized invoice), none of these had happened and Ryan just disappeared. Realistically today we do not expect the refund from Ryan any more, we filed a complaint against him at BBB (Better Business Bureau). We hope people can see this review and don't become another victim. The Fall Home Show is coming soon and we don't want to see Ryan be part of it. Every time we hire a contractor, we come to Home Stars first!

It was the first long weekend of this year, I noticed a raccoon family lived in the window well of furnace room. I called top three in pest control category on Home Stars, two responded and I chose the other one with all 10 ratings and canceled appointment with Pesticon. Hours later, the other company called and they could not make it due to internal scheduling issue and wanted to reschedule for another week which I couldn't wait obviously. I got hold of Ahmed and explained my situation, Ahmed agreed to come on the same day. Ahmed's team actually arrived early and quickly finished the job, got the raccoon mother and three babies in the cage safely and sanitize the window well area. We very much appreciate Pesticon and Ahmed's team for their accommodation and for keeping their promises. Job well done!

Andrew is simply the best contractor we have ever hired so far. After being mistreated by a contractor we hired at national home show, we turned to Home Stars to find someone to finish our door insert project. It turned out to be a very lucky and wise decision, we found Andrew and hired him. Not only Andrew brought in a beautiful product and did an excellent installation, also Andrew impressed us with his professionalism and perfectionism. Andrew is willing to spend time explaining every single detail about door inserts; Andrew is quality driven: premium laser cut inserts, high standard accessories, quality tools and a nice truck; Andrew keeps his promises: on time and deliver good results; Andrew pays attention to details and spend time going beyond normal standards; all these made Andrew stand out from crowd. After I moved into my new house, called RHC to check HVAC system. Chris showed up on time, after thoroughly examined everything, he explained to me the condition of each components. We decided to replace the humidifier and install a internet capable thermostat. Chris came back again and finished the job professionally. Now I can control my thermostat from anywhere I want. I'm looking forward to meeting Chris again to install air cleaning filter (new requirement)

There was good communication both during my initial contact on the phone and through emails, which carried through upon the visit by the duct cleaners. They called before coming, at my request and were on time. It was a smooth operation and I particularly liked the use of the sanitizer once the job was complete.
