In 2015 we had our deck replaced by HDD, they did a terrific job then under the guidance of Jeff so we decided to contact them regarding trellis and pergola work we required this year. Southwest Mississauga is now under the watchful eye of Bob R and his son. There is no doubt this was a challenging year for all contractors, we were one of the very lucky ones as we had contracted this job in Nov 2019 so were first up on the list. There we a number of delays as the kinks were worked out of the Covid lockdown requirements but communication with Bob was always open. Fred ( worked on our deck in 2015 ) Art and Adam did a masterful job, put in long days, were always friendly and cleanup was excellent. They always approached us with options/changes etc and tried as best possible to implement our requests. Thanks to all, another excellent result.

We have had a unwanted visitor under our garden shed since May. Used common deterrents with no success. We were pointed to Pest Protection Plus and are very glad we were. Their service is prompt, their advise honest and there are pricing options to fit desired results. Scheduling is communicated with a two hour window of service, enroute advise provided and has been been within the appropriate window. Ben was very personable and honest regarding securing our shed from further intruders. Much appreciated. Successful removal!!! Excellent service

I began our hunt for new windows for our home by reviewing Home Stars reviews and was able to narrow my search to four potential suppliers. After meeting with potential suppliers I settled on Galaxy for three main reasons. Initial response: I actually went to the Vaughan showroom unannounced only to find it was not open. So I call the Galaxy number and spoke to Dmitri who advised the office was basically used for scheduled appointments....however he did not want to see me waste my time and suggested I visit Hometech, the supplier of their windows which is located in the same area. In fact Dimitri gave me a contact and directions for showroom of the plant. I was quite impressed and certainly necessitated a followup call for a home visit and quotation. Price Quotation: Dimitri was very personable and easy to deal with, he came well prepared with information, pictures of previous jobs, warranty info and sample window to illustrate advantages to Hometech window design and construction. The initial price was very good and as we spoke it became evident that my business was important and Dimitri was flexible. I still had one additional supplier to meet with so Dimitri left a little disappointed by the final quoted price was in my mind very aggressive. At it turned out it was the best of the four quotes I received. Set up & Installation: Once we chose Galaxy follow up was excellent, all appointments were met and timely. In fact they even provided an opportunity for install prior to the set date, unfortunately we could not take advantage of this. Installers Alex (1) & Alex (2) were excellent, very professional, hard workers, sociable and were obviously interested in pleasing the customer. Their work was precise ( did not mind me examining as they went along and would explain if I had any questions), clean up was very good and all garbage removed. In fact Alex (1) even tightened a screen for me eliminating a slight wrinkle and replaced a crank handle which had a blemish with a spare he had in his van. Dimitri also showed up to review the work performed and set up the interior screens. I nice touch of ownership. Follow up: Dmitri did a followup where I explained an issue I had with noisy opening mechanism on our three frosted bathroom windows ( incidentally all the same size ). He immediately set up a visit and came to see the issue first hand. He did a video recording of the noice and stated it would be forwarded to Hometech for their followup. Since it was not an emergency he stated a response timeline of 2-3 weeks. As it turned out Hometech responded in two weeks and set a appt for a technician to review. Mike the tech was delayed on a previous job but called well in advance to make sure I was available ( thanks Mike ). Mike was great, he quickly identified the issue, a few missing clips on the opening bar and repaired. He even noticed a loose handle and set a second tech to replace. Conclusion: An excellent experience from start to finish. We went from double hung to a combination of casement and awning windows, what a difference. We have had the windows for 6 weeks now and are very pleased and have received complements from friends and neighbours. I would highly recommend Galaxy and infant have done so already.

I have an annual service plan with Atlas. It has proven beneficial they the 17 years I have been doing business with Atlas. As part of this service a faulty electrical contact was found and replaced along with a capacitor. Potentially saving a burned out fan motor or worse compressor. Anthony was personable, knowledgeable and professional. Thanks again Atlas for your continued customer service commitment.

I was referred to Sternak Home Improvement by our designer. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Ted was right on time ( in fact a little early ) for our first meeting which was a good indicator of things to come. The quote was provided in a clear concise manner and from a pricing perspective was what I considered to be fair and reasonable given others I had received. Ted and his son Lucas were very easy to deal with, through out the process which lasted 4-5 weeks they ensured I was engaged in decision making and took my requests/suggestions willingly. Would act on them or recommend alternatives leading to a final product that exceeded our expectations. There were a few changes that required additional material costs but the labour rate never changed. I fully expected and even offered to compensate Ted for this extra work but he only said he would consider at the end of the job. No change was made!! Ted was even able to use some materials I had available to avoid the need to purchase. I felt he was fair and actually looking out for our interests. There is no way to do a clean reno of this size but they were as careful as they could be during demolition and always used runners to protect our hard wood floors. End of day clean up was performed as best possible. One thing I would suggest is the use of plastic sheeting to seal off other rooms where possible. I will certainly be calling Sternak Improvements for our next project.

Was informed of Mirror Interiors by another glass company I used previously who were unable to do this job. We went to the Oakville showroom where we were greeted in a friendly manner and referred to Alisha in sales. Alisha was very pleasant, reviewed our requirements and provided a quote and time line for the job within minutes. An appointment was set up for measurements (which was right on time) and a proposed date for delivery was provided. There were a few minor hiccups with machinery being out of order and some internal communications which delayed the delivery a few days but Alisha provided updates which was appreciated. Installation team did a good job, they were careful, clean and ensured we were satisfied prior to leaving. I would use Mirror Interiors for other glass projects.

Found Doors or More thru retail advertising and on the web. First interaction was thru E-Mail. The response from Tara was not only expeditious but the info provided was clear, concise, and professional. Next came a phone call as followup to ensure my needs were understood. I like to meet the folks I am dealing with and had no issues setting up a visit to the Doors and More facility. I met Tara and the owner Frank who were both engaging, easy to deal with and personable. I have found thru experience that you can tell a lot about a company by their facility. I was able to tour the glass cutting/fitting area which was a safety first shop, very neat and clean. This was a very good indicator of the work to come. All aspects of the job were carried out on time ( which by the was a good week to 10 days faster than other quotes I received ) by friendly and knowledgable folks. The installation by Bill and Jones was top notch. They did not have any issues with my watching and learning from the installation process. They were very meticulous, worked well as a team and left the place very clean. While there was a minor issue with the hinges coming the wrong way from the shop ( door opened out instead of in as on the plan ) they corrected the hinges on the fly and completed the required installation. Should I have a need for shower enclosure or bathroom doors in the future Doors and More will be my only call. Thanks Tara, Frank, Bill and Jones.

The home Starts site actually lead me to this contractor and I am very happy it did. From the moment of contact via e-mail thru completion HDD did a great job. Jeff was very easy to deal with, most importantly he listened! Worked with our ideas and concerns re existing gardens etc. Meetings were on time and informative, including a 3D image of the final product which gave us confidence in our choices. Fred and Adam the building crew were excellent, showed up on time and were very meticulous in their work. Fred always had a good story to start the day and ensured all alterations to the original plan were done thru consultation. The finished product, one we are happy to show our guests and will last well beyond our time here. Thanks very much to Hickory Dickory Decks for a very professional job and restoring our confidence in contractors.
