A series of 3 toilet overflows on the main floor (over 6 months) resulted in water travelling along a heating duct and dropping off at the rec room ceiling. The water damage was two rectangular areas of discoloration. Called 5-star (a lucky pick) and someone appeared the next day to give us a quote. 3 days later Al showed up in the morning and re-painted the whole ceiling section - twice. The water affected areas required 4 coats. He was quick, careful, no paint anywhere except on the ceiling. Stayed until he was satisfied. I would use him again.

We moved into our condo townhouse in June 2016. It has two gas fireplaces, that ceased working by late summer. Checked with a store that sold fireplaces and they gave us Imran's card. Called on Friday. Got a call back Saturday that he could come on Monday morning. He is a householder's dream. Tools included his own vacuum and a drop cloth to protect the floor. He recognized both units immediately. Neither had been serviced for years. Not only did he clean them up, he cleaned the glass panes 'till they shined (do not try Windex). He made sure I understood their operation and stressed annual maintenance. Very personable man with an interesting history - and English/French bilingual. Worth every penny.

The last rain of August 2015 demonstrated that our two basement window wells needed to be refreshed. We had mud and water oozing in between the window frames and the surrounding cement. Did a search for someone to fix the problem. Two names showed up most frequently. The first returned a call from salesman's car. He gave me a verbal quote and directed me to their website for more detail. The second was Aquamaster. The call-back came again from salesman's car but he could come visit within 30 minutes. He did. After reviewing the external evidence he gave me a tutorial on the nature of window wells, the work that would have to be done (and why) and then sat down and wrote out a quotation. A 10% discount was included for seniors. I asked when the work could be done. He said they could start the next day and with one team two wells would take two days. If he could get a pair of teams, it could all be done in one day. I signed up. Next morning at 9:00 am, on the dot, a van pulled up and 4 men climbed out. Two teams. They each introduced themselves, politely asked where the washroom was, if they needed one, and then commenced. They left at 6:15 pm, job done and area cleaned up. Except for the new shiny window wells, one would not know they had been there. Was I impressed? Darn Right.

We wanted to replace a 40-year old one=piece door. Sent out 4 e-mails to companies advertising garage doors. Only one replied, Dodds Garage Doors. Michael came out within the week and within 30 minutes we had selected a door style and colour. As he wrote the contract, Michael explained each feature - and why it was there. 3 or 4 weeks later we received a call that our door would be installed on July 2nd. Jacob arrived just after breakfast, introduced himself and got straight to work. He's a big boy, and strong. I got my coffee and pipe and sat down to watch. (ok, sometimes I was looking right over his shoulder). Everything was explained - twice, if necessary. In the end the job was finished and garbage cleaned up. About 4-5 hours elapsed time.I would vouch for Jacob (and he people who employ him) any time. The work was professional, thoroughly explained and accurate. It was also a great improvement over the original installation by the builder. Thanks MIchael for teaching me about todays doors and guiding our choice. And thanks Jacob for being friendly as well as efficient. A good job all around.
