After 20 plus years our builder’s deck was looking a little rickety. I started my search for a company to replace it by asking for recommendations and looking on Homestars. We met with two other contractors who were okay but Jay stood out because I found him easiest to communicate with. We discussed my ideas and he helped me visualize how we could make the best use of the space. I appreciated the thoughtful way that he made suggestions for changes rather than dismissing my ideas. The project grew from just a new deck and patio to a complete transformation of our back yard including stone bordered garden beds and planting. The work started at the beginning of May of 2017. The team had just removed the deck and fence when the skies opened and it rained and rained for days. After it dried up enough to put the cement footings in and complete a few other tasks it rained some more. The project was set back a few weeks because of the weather. When possible Matt and the crew worked through drizzle, wind, chilly and even a few hot days always showing a good attitude and applying their skills to produce quality workmanship. It was worth the wait and we are pleased with the results.

I was pleased with the pleasant professionalism of everyone from the lady who made the appointment, Chris,the estimator to Kevin and Sean who did the work. Kevin and Sean worked carefully and efficiently. When they finished they came in to get me to examine what they had done. My elderly neighbour noticed that they were from Avenue Road, the roofing company which had replaced her roof and eavestroughs, and had told them that she was having trouble with her eavestrough. They were happy to help her by caulking the trouble spot.

We needed to change the kitchen as well as the floors from the front foyer to the kitchen. This included the hall, the mainfloor powder room, and the laundry room. The reno included new cabinetry in the kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom as well as installation of new fixtures and appliances. I was impressed with the quality of the work as well as the pleasant professionalism of the workers. Each of the people that I worked with from the designers to the clean up crew listened and made every effort to work with me to achieve the best results.
