I am exceptionally happy with the service I received today from Watermark Plumbing. Geoff was responsive when I contacted the company regarding plumbing issues I was having. The pricing is transparent, the work was done well and efficiently and as a bonus they showed up an half hour early! I will definitely use Watermark for any future plumbing problems and have already forwarded their contact information to two friends! Thanks!

Called Drain King for a problem with my shower panel. I couldn't get the shower to turn off so I was desperate and had them come in. When I called I was told that if they came and gave me a quote and I didn't go ahead with the work the charge would be $90. This made me question how often they gave quotes that customers were not satisfied with, but I was desperate. The guy showed up and told me he had no idea how to fix a shower panel. Said it might be the cartridge, but had no idea where to find one, but if I found one he'd come back and replace it, but that I should probably just replace the whole panel and if I got a new one he'd come back and install it. I had clearly explained when I called that the problem was with a shower panel, so I am unclear why the company would send someone who started his assessment with "I don't know anything about shower panels" He gave me a quote to turn off the water at the shower. It needed to be done and I told him to go ahead. I had a couple other plumbing issues including a toilet fill valve that required replacing. The quote for replacing the fill valve was $304 for labour. At this point it was clear that along with not knowing what he was doing he was also going to to gouge me. I paid the $200 (the quote I was provided) to make the shower stop running and sent the guy on his way. I did some online youtube tutorials and figured out how to remove the old cartridge from my shower panel. I found the replacement on Amazon (under $30!) and replaced it. No new shower panel required! I did need a plumber for some other work and called in another company whose pricing was transparent and reasonable and they sent a knowledgeable plumber to complete the work. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT call Drain King. I will be following up this review with a glowing review for the other company.

We do provide free estimates during regular business hours so that our customers have the freedom to make a decision without having to pay a fee. Your request was outside of regular business hours and that's why you paid a fee for us to come out to provide an estimate.

If our estimates were over priced we would not be in business long providing them for free to our customers. Rest assured we had your best interest in mind.

Your technician would have advised you that because there was no way to tell what shower panel you had - that the time and materials to find and source the parts with no actual guarantee it would solve the problem would not be ideal. He recommended replacing the panel because the time and money put into sourcing and installing the part with no guarantee can often end up being more expensive than replacing the panel altogether. Your technician wanted to provide you with a guaranteed solution as to not waste your time and money on some thing that was not a guaranteed fix.

We feel your comments and review are a little bit harsh considering we did have your best interest in mind. At the end of the day we are happy your problem was solved.

I highly recommend Honest Construction & Roofing Inc. They replaced a front porch roof on my house and all my eavestroughs including some fascia and soffits on a new back porch. Lawrence was responsive, provided a reasonable quote and the work was done efficiently, well and in the timeframe that we had agreed on. All the old material was removed and my property was left clean. I plan on using them for other jobs and have already referred friends. Thank you!! Joan in Toronto

Best moving company I have ever used! Professional, Courteous & Conscientious! Efficient booking process. They contacted me to confirm. They showed up exactly when they said they would and they wasted no time. It was a small move from east of Yonge & Bloor to west of Dupont & Lansdowne. The move took one and half hours from the minute they arrived until they unloaded the last item. I left the pick up location before they did and they arrived at the drop off location before me. There was a minimum two hour charge, which I was happy to pay. I will definitely use Miracle Movers for any future move and highly recommend!

The worst customer service! They attempted to charge me $300 to replace a defective bathroom vanity (the sink became detached from the vanity top) with one that appeared to have been been returned to them. The replacement had chips in the marble top and the glass shelf had a chip and was dirty like it had been removed from another bathroom. Months of attempted contacted with no follow up. I gave them one star for satisfaction as the other products I purchased there are fine, but not worth it in the end. Will not be sourcing products at York Taps for the upcoming second bathroom reno

Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

I dealt with three people. I first contacted Direct Energy to find out about annual boiler maintenance. I spoke to a man named Paul. He explained all the options and sent me information about the protection plans. I made my decision and emailed Paul back to let him know I would like to enroll. I received a follow up call the next day. During the call I spoke to Bill and then a women named June. All three representatives I dealt with were excellent! Customer service is something that will make or break my decision to deal with a company. All three reps had a great command of the English language, were well spoken and clear. They were friendly and I didn't feel like I was getting a scripted hard sell. I would really like my thanks to be conveyed back to each of these people if possible. Thank you!
