Wonderful work on a very challenging job. We needed to mount a 160 something pound condenser half way up my house. They then installed 4 units throughout the house. The job was done with impeccable attention to detail and the guys worked long hours. Quote was good. Len, the owner was responsive. The workers were also very clean, which was very nice. They vacuumed up twice after work. The units themselves were placed exactly where we wanted them and they work great. One more thing, the hoses and cables were also installed very nicely. Clean work, pleasing to look at.

Guy Bowman is the best. He made sure to get the job done on time and he personally came back to make a small alteration when a measurement was in question. The guy is also pretty slick with a masonry saw.

We initially approached Malcolm for a new kitchen with a different general contractor / project manager in mind. Their costs kept ballooning so we asked Malcolm if he would do the new kitchen and act as the site manager / general contractor / project manager for the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, electrical and various small projects throughout. He agreed to a management fee of $10k which was very reasonable. He guided us through the entire project, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, some masonry, almost all new electrical and lots of smaller drywall, trim, framing, painting and flooring. We ended up taking 10 days longer than expected (which is amazing for a 3 month project). We ended up roughly on budget, again amazing for a 100 year old house full of surprises as soon as you open the walls. One of the strongest value adds from Malcolm is his practical approach. He educated me a on how to build and buy products that are tested and are unlikely to fail. He made sure to inform us any time our design decisions might lead to a less durable product. Malcolm was friendly, efficient with his time, good at communication, reachable and very reasonable with his time. I would definitely recommend him for any kitchen project or as a general contractor.

We had to re-route a sewer drain, dig a new 70 foot trench and connect to the city sewers. Frank from Drain works came on site and was very knowledgeable. He helped to highlight some challenges and then explain the next steps. He even drew up the new sewer plans for the permit office. Every step of the way Frank provided excellent communication and regular updates. Drainworks completed the work when they said they would. When we went to check it out we were very impressed with the work site. They dug a 70 foot trench and all the debris was neatly piled in corners. After completing the work there was some issue with the new cement they poured. Within a day Frank made arrangements to fix the issue and did so according to my timelines. I would use Drainworks again without hesitation.
