Late on a Monday, I discovered that there was no power in my garage. The GFCI had tripped and would not reset. When I disengaged the chain on the garage door opener, I still could not lift the door, discovering that one spring had broken in half. I checked reviews on Homestars and called around. Markham Garage Doors was highly reviewed, competitive and in the neighbourhood. My discussion with Customer Service was clear, understandable and the agent was very responsive to questions. No one pressured me or made me feel uninformed. I was able to book an appointment the next afternoon. Avery the technician arrived on-time, confirmed the work to be done, explained the likely cause of the problem and undertook the replacement and rebalancing in less time than I expected. He showed me his work and was very pleasant even when he had to advise that the 25+ years old opener had burned out and would need to be replaced. He was quick to explain and demonstrate that I would have no problem opening and closing the door until I decided whether I wanted to replace the defunct opener. He indicated that the company could also undertake the work. When asked whether they installed openers purchased from others, he indicated the cost of that service but suggested that I call his company to get a quote. The work area was left very clean and no garbage was left behind. Given that it was around in the mid 30’s that day, he was very nice to speak with and very efficient. Purchase and installation was once again competitively priced. I booked an appointment for two days later due to Canada Day. On the day of installation, Avery called to apologize and explain that he would be delayed by 20 minutes and then arrived as promised. Once again, he confirmed the work to be done, explained the product and changes he would be making to my existing set up and undertook the work. When he was done, he explained the new apparatus and answered my questions thoroughly, ensuring that I understood. Once again, the area was left tidy and clean. Thank you for such good service.

I had received a Red Tag following a furnace inspection, noting that the ground wire was not up to Code. I had not taken note of the 45 day timeframe and was within 9 days of the deadline. Contacted Gas Guys. Received a call back within 60 minutes. Upon learning of the deadline, George advised that Enbridge needs to receive confirmation notice from a certified technician more than 5 days before the deadline and offered to come that afternoon. He clearly described the cost over the phone, was at my home within 2 hours, explained why the repair was necessary, how he would do it and redressed the problem within 15 minutes. He then clearly identified the two options through which I could remit the certification of the repair to Enbridge and provided the necessary email address, indicating how to complete the email subject line. He also advised me that I should check to make sure that I received an automatic reply back from Enbridge indicating that the email had been received. He noted that he would email a copy of the invoice and offered the opportunity to pay via Interac Transfer. I received the invoice the next morning. George was very professional and very helpful.

Thank you Sheree for the wonderful review. Red tags are one thing that have to be addressed or else Enbridge will shut down you gas supply line and force you to address them. Safety is our top priority. I am glad things worked out!

My interaction with Aztech was great. My initial meeting with Myron was clear and direct, he was patient and provided information which helped me decide not only on the style of door but the type of door. He was thorough in explaining the process of installation and time it would take. His provided photos to show me what the differences in style would look like once installed. He understood that I wanted to get other quotes and allowed me the time to do so. He answered my questions by email in a very timely fashion. The installation was scheduled at my convenience. The installation team was efficient and clean even though it was a rainy day. The installation team knew that I had a hard stop in order to attend a meeting and were done well in advance of that time. The only surprise was that I needed a new doorbell. Had I known, I would have had one ready or run out to get one. If Myron is your salesperson, you are in very good hands.

Adrian was incredibly helpful and professional from setting up the appt, arriving on time, through the completion of the cleaning of the ducts. He explained everything along the way. He ran into some unexpected challenges and resolved them. He took the time to clean all the low spots and even helped secure a new return cover. The difference is very evident in the air quality and significant drop in dust on our dark hardwood floors. I used a Groupon coupon for the service and only paid an additional $25 for the 5 extra ducts. Although some companies offered a cheaper coupon, none had the consistently high ratings of Delux Dux. Look at the comments over several months before you choose of service provider. I went with Delux Dux because they had consistently good ratings. Thanks again Adrian.

The experience was excellent. I was experiencing water leakage which I was attributing to either a leaky skylight or one or two loose shingles. Once examined, it turned out that the 2014 ice storm had left a large number of shingles flapping every which way. Jonathon from Professional Roofers showed up when he said he would and provided a competitive quote spending almost 40 minutes with me at our meeting and answering my questions following the meeting and came back again to answer more questions before I signed. The day of the install the team arrived on time and was efficient, clean and neat during installation and clean up a despite a very. long heavy rainstorm. Despite the rain, no one left until the completed roof had been examined by their quality control manager Leandro who arrived during the rainstorm after the job and the clean up were complete. He walked me through what had been done and showed me the rotting plywood that had been removed and was set aside so that I could see what had been replaced, told where it had been and what it likely had caused. The quality person reminded me to register the warranty and how to do it on their website. The roof looks great and during the subsequent rash of storms, no leakage occurred. I received a discount on some material on the spot as a sales promotion. A week later I received a thank you note and a $100 credit for a family member/friend that might use their services. Neighbours were so impressed with the job that they were enquiring DURING installation. I then also received a telephone call to once again ensure that I was satisfied, that I had registered the warranty and that everything had gone well. I would strongly recommend this company. I obtained four quotes. One lower quote was reluctant to replace the old (and leaky) skylight. The sales person told me I would have to go up on the roof myself (3 stories), measure the space which was irregular, and purchase the skylight and they would install it when they were there. He assured me that the skylight would be in stock at Home Depot. I estimated the size, trecked over to home depot and was told that they no longer carry the size in stores or on order!!!! A higher quote from another company detailed every single thing they would use and the cost of each and everything, a large portion of which was unnecessary like new eavestroughs. The fourth vendor informed me that they no longer did roofing on houses like mine. The two other viable vendors were each available within a week. Professional roofers were booked for a month, unless there was an emergency. All three had several teams at work.
