Amir from Mr Interlock was one of 5 or 6 contractors that I met to rebuild my backyard patio's existing retaining wall. His quote was competitive with the other contractors, but it was his enthusiasm, knowledge and good ratings on HomeStars that tipped my hand. Also, he was more than happy to provide references of current and previous jobs. His partner Chris and his crew came and did a great job, and observing Chris, he is a perfectionist so I know I was in good hands. The end product was everything I expected and more. Kudos to both Amir and Chris for a job well done and another satisfied customer.

I got a few quotes for the work and Joe provided a fair quote. What won me over was his honesty and down-to-earth approach. Not only did he and his crew do a fantastic job, but he was also very accommodating in making changes and even helped me in transporting building materials on his own time and expense over a weekend because another contractor that I engaged to do something else on my property insisted that I had to get all the materials before that contractor was willing to start work. When the interlocking paver I picked was out of stock, he even gave me another more expensive paver at no additional cost to me. He is an asset to the industry, and I will not hesitate in recommending him to family and friends.

I contacted a number of removable pool fencing companies, and as it was their busy period, not all of them got back to me. Chris from PAC not only returned my call, he was also very professional. Although Chris did not come in with the lowest quote, PAC had a superior product (I selected the fibreglass pole, which is the strongest you can find in GTA) and with almost 3 decades of experience, it was an easy choice. I was pleased with the install and I have even recommended his services to my own family. For those who are interested, I was told by PAC that they are bonded and insured.

I had 3 bathrooms to makeover, and I ended up interviewing about 5 contractors. I finally picked Don although he didn't give the lowest quote as he came across as professional, sincere and detail-oriented, which I believe to be excellent traits in a contractor. The quality of his work is exceptional, and he doesn't cut corners. I have heard of other contractors that finish about 80% of the job and then move on to the next job because they promised the next client that they would start on a certain date, and take forever to finish the remaining 20% of the job over months and years. Don, on the other hand, was realistic in estimating the duration of the job, and stayed on the job until it was completed before moving on even though he was a day or two late for the next job. Overall, I am very happy with his work, and it's a bonus that he is very personable as well. I would not hesitate to use his services in the future, and have highly recommended him to friends and family.

I contacted Renato because of the good ratings he received here. Besides the very reasonable quote he provided, he was also the most meticulous when he was at my place looking at the current equipment, placement, etc. He and his installer arrived when they said they would, and left my basement very clean. He also made sure the paperwork was in good shape for me to receive rebates. I have no qualms in recommending Renato to anyone who is interested in installing Goodman furnaces or air-cons.

Paul and Andrew arrived on a Friday evening and stayed late into the nite till the job was done, all 3 hours plus of it. The moment they were in the house, they thoughtfully removed their shoes. I was with them most of the time and learnt a great deal about the amount of dirt in my ducts (even though the previous owner told me had annual duct cleaning done), where my dampers were and so on. They were very honest, professional and enthusiastic. As Paul was cleaning my furnace, he took time to explain the furnace inner mechanisms. They even helped diagnose an air duct that had severe air flow problems, which was most likely a disconnected duct that would require a HVAC company to resolve. I will not only use them again, but will be recommending them to my close family and friends.
