Had an issue with a shower lighting receptacle and engaged with Kiyan Electric (Vahid) to repair. Communication and coordination were very easy and on the day Kiyan Electric showed up on time and prepared (and I need to stress "Covid era" prepared as well). Vahid went right to work while maintaining perfect social distance protocols and respect for our property. He made short work of the contracted deliverable and made a couple of suggestions / repairs that he spotted as well as another small ad-hoc task. Everything works flawlessly, the price was very reasonable and he was incredibly professional, courteous and efficient.. Couldn't ask for better.

Had an issue with my AC and called my paid service group and was provided with an appt for a 24/7 "emergency call" that was 4-days out. All the while they tried to up-sell services. Decided to call Hawk Home Systems based on reviews and am SO GLAD that I did. The responsiveness, booking and turn around time (they tried for that night but coordinated early next day) was mind blowing amid current logistics. Jim (amazing guy) arrived on time and was very respectful of Covid protocols as he went right to work. The assessment, issue diagnosis and work completed were done in an extremely efficient, thorough, professional manner and he was kind enough to field all of my questions and provide detailed explanations and recommendations for care and maintenance post-visit. Wish I could do better than a 10. Will use Hawk for my HVAC needs every time from this moment forward.

We needed to get some Fence posts replaced (original builder installation was sub-par) as they had rotted. Also, was looking for some recommendations to add to the aesthetic of our small backyard. Upon Home Stars review decided to contact Green Side Up and coordinated a site visit/consult. EVERY part of engagement with every resource (Sonja, Jay, Jordon, Josh) was fantastic. Sonja arranged the visit and Jay and his four-legged "consultant" popped by and quickly assessed the requirements, provided options as well as some great suggestions to maximize curb appeal for a more than fair price. Date was set for work and Jordan and Josh arrived bright and early and got right to work after being kind enough to explain the process. Fence posts (with one of the originals requiring out of the box thinking to remove), Planter borders, Fence skirting, and deck/riser repairs were finished professionally, efficiently with great results. The team was even so kind as to replace some boards on the deck riser that were in a bad state with pieces of the remaining boards. The service area was then cleaned to better than its pre-work state. It was a pleasure to work with an entire crew and I will being using GSU as my go to for this kind of work. I have had the opportunity (and was /am glad for it) to engage Modern Appliance when we first took occupancy of our newly acquired (2013) home. The review for said engagement can be found on Home Stars. On this visit, like the first visit Peter was amazing (please note that this visit included proactive legwork on M.A.'s part as we had to source parts as I have a stove that is uncommon in CAN.). Once they arrived the turn around time was incredibly quick. Peter arrived and in minutes the ice maker was up and running and he turned his attention to the stove. Every step was explained in detail as per my request (I am sure he is happy to entertain "silent running mode" if you require). He was also generous enough to let me have some time to clean the stove thoroughly while he waited as this presented a good opportunity to access that would normally be an effort. Everything is working perfectly and you couldn't hope to deal with a more skilled professional who is also incredibly affable and willing to share the process. THANKS Peter!!

Moved into our house to discover (via the water cascading over the eavestrough vs. through the downspouts) that the yearly accumulation of leaves from neighbouring trees had never been cleared. Contacted Pierce and T.T.T and he deployed a person to do a site inspection. He then (with a lot of effort which I really appreciated as my schedule has few open slots) coordinated and day and time. Crew arrived well armed for the task and did a fantastic job. This was not an easy visit for them as my trough and downspouts were incredibly clogged and our high stacked townhouse pushed 80' ladders to the test. Nevertheless they worked non-stop to ensure that everything was in excellent condition upon job completion. Great service, great staff, great price. 10/10!

Would recommend Modern Appliance (esp. Peter) to anyone and everyone. Proactively sourced parts based on problem descriptions across 3 different appliances including parts for "what if" scenarios just to be sure. Peter arrived and went right to work but still took the time to walk me through the troubleshooting, diagnosis and remediation steps with a smile. He fixed our Refrigerator and Dishwasher (while also pointing out a shoddy install which he repaired on his own as a courtesy) then moved on to the stove. My brand is not incredibly common in Canada but he took time to walk through all of the potential issues and then provided a plan to maintain ongoing troubleshooting and process of elimination so we only needed to fix what was broken vs. replacing everything that could be an issue!!!! If all of this wasn't enough he took time out of his busy schedule to look at our Gas Fireplace which wasn't working and made recommendations. Can't thank M.A. and Peter enough and wish I could give a better than 10 rating. Will be using them for any appliance issues that we encounter and just hope any moves we make in the future keep us in M.A. service area!! Thanks so much

Another Homestars based service selection that paid off really well! Based on reviews chose this group and it started with Brian who patiently walked me through the available offering, process, time frame and costs in great detail! Very professional and friendly. This in turn carried through to Cory who took the time to review the service request with me to confirm that it was best result meets request. Extremely professional, efficient and affable. All of this in a very quick turn around time and at a great price, what's not to rave about?!? We are considering an alarm system next and Pre-Lock will be my first call. Thanks!!!

I first and foremost have to say a big thank you to Ruby as you are incredible!!! The staff at 416-SC are fantastic across the board and they made a concerted effort to meet a very short turn around demand with grace and understanding. Ruby maintained constant contact and updated / confirmed regularly to ensure that a "next day" request could be accommodated. Day of, Daltony arrived and went straight to work. Incredible effort in a very efficient manner with a focus on caring for every step trod in the house and all delivered with a smile and incredible results. To add, 416-SC also addressed the tile et al, in the bathroom so truly provided a wall to wall solution. Won't consider anyone else for my future needs in this realm. Thanks 416-SC crew, you are awesome.

Was more than familiar with this fantastic company via a "friend in the ranks" and after reviewing the incredible feedback posted by other Homestar contributors the choice was a no brainer. Cargo Cabbie exceeded expectation by leaps and bounds. The crew of Javi, John and Mike were incredibly professional, polite and defined efficiency and care in the move. I could go on and on but suffice it to say, if you have a move they are your experts. Thanks gents at C.C., 10 out of 10 across the board.
