If I could give John 11 stars, I would. My main shut off valve was experiencing a slow drip due to its age (almost 40 year old house). First, John was very prompt in providing me with a quote. When I decided to go with Dima Plumbing, John told me how I needed to co-ordinate with the city for the water shut off and told me the day he was available. On the day of the installation the city inspector was delayed all morning. Once he arrived, I texted John and he quickly made his way down within 30 minutes. He asked the inspector to stay while he installed a new ball main shutoff valve. John was done within 15 minutes thus saving me the cost of turning the water back on later in the day. Watching John work, I could tell he had a lot of experience and knew his stuff. Overall, he was very pleasant to deal with and I recommend him to anyone requiring plumbing services. You are not going to be disappointed.

Work was completed in May 2021: My neighbor's chimney was crumbling very badly so he mentioned he was going to be using a company called Red Robin. My chimney was showing some deterioration also, even though it was repaired about 10 years prior (the previous company simply mortared around the flue but did not recommend or do an overhanging crown cap so water dripped down the brick overtime and caused deterioration. Ironically, I called that same company back for a quote prior to getting Red Robin's and he owner did not even acknowledge that he should have done an overhang although he recommended it this time around. Just told me the previous work held up pretty well... um, so why are we repairing this a second time around, lol?). Since my neighbor was doing his also, we figured that we could work out a lower cost by having both jobs at the same time. We got a reasonable price for each house. For my chimney, Red Robin replaced the flue with an overhanging cap (learnt from last time) and added a vent to allow airflow into the closed-off chimney. We are both very happy with our chimneys and job was done quickly and cleanly. They even provided pictures of after the work when we asked for them. Highly recommend this company! John, Anna and Joe were great to deal with.

First, I will start off saying that Aire Max has done 3 different jobs over the years: 1) 9 years ago: we had a gas leak which Max fixed and also replaced our hot water tank (no more renting), 2) 7 years ago: replaced our furnace and A/C with a high efficiency one, 3) just this past weekend: fixed our furnace which failed to ignite. Furnace Fix: The furnace had been failing to ignite on and off over the past few days - and completely stopped on Friday right before the biggest snow storm of the year. Max showed up in an hour and diagnosed that the motherboard was not working. The parts stores were closed and would not open until Monday so he worked with them to get the motherboard even though there was no guarantee. He showed up Saturday afternoon with the part. The snow storm was worst than anticipated, so the fact that he went all the way to get the part and showed up while people were still plowing their driveways really shows that he really wanted to get our furnace up and running again. He also changed our thermostat and tested the heating and AC. Max is a caring, attentive, patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Aire Max for all your heating and cooling needs. Max really came to the rescue when we needed it the most.

Our master bathtub was leaking into our kitchen. Ross showed up on time and immediately began detecting the moisture levels of different areas. After the readings he cut a hole in the ceiling (with my permission) and inspected for water damage. He identified the problem and told me the water damage was contained mostly in the drywall. He recommended us to have a plumber fix the issue and confirmed that there wasn't a mold problem in the ceiling (which was a huge relief for me). Afterward, he taped up the hole and asked me if he could take a look around the basement for signs if water damage. Of course, I agreed. He basically did a mini home inspection for my basement and attic and gave me tons of recommendations without extra charge. Ross was very patient and knowledgeable and most importantly he was honest. He told me how some companies use peoples’ fears to upsell their services. The reason I use Homestars today is because I’m so sick of dishonest contractors (and there are so many these days). Ross confirms that there are still good people out there…

We returned from vacation to find out that there was a small gas leak in the basement. Enbridge inspected and gave us a red tag. I shopped around and Max seemed to give a decent quote. When he got to work, I could see that he really liked what he was doing and took extra care in making sure the job was done right (and most importantly safely). I decided to replace the hot water tank at the same time since it was in the same location and we had already paid the full cost of a full unit by renting from Direct Energy. Max took care of obtaining a new unit and disposing the old one. When I saw that he did an amazing job, I called him back to tune up my 25+ year old furnace. I would highly recommend Max to anyone. He is very friendly, kind and hardworking. With him you are in good hands.
