Red Robin Masonry

Replacement of top 25 tiers of chimney. Originally broken by lightning strike and fixed. Substandard job began to disintegrate over months and water was getting in the remaining chimney.
Red Robin was one of five quotes. They were price competitive but also made sure they had comparable brick to match. Fully insured and with a multiyear guarantee. They had a difficult job to get around a tree, yet they had the expertise to get the job done without damaging the tree. Cleanup was excellent. Highly recommend them for any sized job.

We replaced our front steps and addressed water entering our basement cold room with Red Robin Masonry. Paul was our on-site mason and he went above and beyond for us. He performed additional testing to identify and confirm where water was entering the house. When stone distributors were low on stock at the end of season, he drove around town to help us find a great looking substitute. We were very satisfied with the service and workmanship. The price was fair and we could recommend this company to our friends and family.

We hired Red Robin Masonry to repair a variety of problems on the brick and parging portions of the side wall of our 100 year old home. The masonry repairs included replacing 12 bricks, repointing degraded mortar in a number of sections and filling holes made by a multitude of cable fasteners. The parging repair took care of popped screw holes. We are very pleased with the results. It is very difficult to tell that any work has been done on the side wall as the replacement bricks, mortar and concrete were expertly placed/applied and colour matched.

It was a pleasure to deal with Red Robin from beginning to end. The sales representative listened to our concerns and gave us honest advice as to what immediately needed to be done, what didnt and what wasnt pressing. There was no upselling. The quote was reasonable, detailed and included photos of areas to be addressed. As well, the representative fielded subsequent calls to answer further questions. Although we were a small job that was just beating the end of the work season, we were assured wed be fitted in. The scheduling of the project was well-handled with emails regarding a tentative date, a definite date, then a reconfirmation with the project supervisors email/cell just before the start date - all within a a couple of weeks. The masonry team arrived ahead of time and did a full days work tackling the listed tasks and also repointed a few joints to the side of our front door. The team cleaned up well and asked us to inspect everything before they left. In the ensuing day or two we noticed a couple of minor things to be addressed. The project supervisor was easily reachable and had the adjustments attended to the next day.

We had some brick work that needed repair on the side of our house after some exterior tubing from a central vac was removed. We also needed some cement work repaired on our front steps. Red Robin did an excellent job. They matched our old brick and when the front steps needed some additional repair to a crack that had formed, they came to fix it promptly. Highly recommend.

When raccoons started to tear shingles from our roof, we contacted a roofer to repair. While on the roof, he noted that there was no mortar on the roof side of the chimney, something that we couldn't see.
After much research, we contacted Red Robin Masonry to do the fix.
Upon inspection, they noted it was so bad that they were surprised that it had not collapsed. This was consistent with the Roofer's observation. We had a choice of a rebuild or tuck-pointing and we chose the latter. In addition to tuck-pointing, they also installed silicone drip edge on underside of chimney cap.
They were timely & punctual, neat & tidy, and explained everything they had done.

John and his crew were thoroughly professional. Outlined what needed to be done, priced the job well and the work was completed in a timely fashion. Very happy with outcome. Would highly recommend them.
