I had my ducts cleaned by Andrew and Garrett last week. They were extremely professional and efficient. I have a cream carpet in my basement and they assured me that they would take precautions so that the carpet would not be soiled. True to their word, the job was completed and the carpet was still in great shape. The service that they provided was excellent, well priced and they arrived during the scheduled window. I would highly recommend this company for all of your furnace needs. On another note, my child had a post nasal drip for the past several months and I feel that this allergy is better since we cleaned the ducts. The air quality is MUCH better now. Thanks again Atlascare

I purchase a mew home and the furnace stopped working the day that we moved in, The door had been open all day with moving in and the telephone and internet installation had been troublesome and the installer was poking around all corners of our house looking for where the lines come in. To make a long story short the furnace stopped working and we thought that it may have given up the ghost or the internet installer had messed something up when he was searching for wires. We called atlas care that evening and a service technician named Nimo arrived promptly, He was courteous and professional and a pleasure to work with. After a few moments of trouble shooting, he found that someone had turned off the power to the furnace by what appeared to be a light switch on the wall. It had not been labelled "furnace" but just appeared like a regular light switch. We must have switched it off when poking around for the internet/phone lines! I was prepared to hear that I needed a new furnace but instead he said that it looked good and then he labelled the switch appropriately so that this would never happen again.. Nimo suggested that we may want to go on a service plan. The service plan (about $150/yr) was cheaper than the emergency after hour service call (about $200)would have been and it included one Product Maintenance call a year and one diagnostic. We were happy to sign up for this plan as we know that servicing your furnace every year makes it work better and last longer. Nimo then proceeded to give our furnace a yearly maintenance service. In the past, we always serviced our furnace yearly so we are accustomed to spending $150 a year maintaining our furnace anyhow. It seemed like a great idea to me and the price was fair. I looked up this company on homestars before calling them for this emergency service call and I was pleased to find so many reviews and such a high rating. This is the reason why I chose this company in an emergency. I am not sorry that I called them as Nimo was honest, efficient and professional. I will continue to use this company and I am happy with the service that they provided. GOOD JOB NIMO

I called royal air in to service the High efficiency AC and furnace that is now 2 years old. He was efficient, friendly and did a great job. My furnace needed some minor adjustments but nothing more that a little cleaning and a tune up. I find their service to be friendly and competent. They ensure that there is no mess left behind and it is a pleasure doing business with this company. They installed my furnace initially and I will continue to use them for as long as I own this house.

I had a pre-purchase home inspection with Mike holmes inspection. The inspector was professional and thorough. I paid extra for the Thermography so that they can "see" behind walls to detect things like water leaks etc. The inspector detected one invisible spot in the ceiling above my kitchen that could possibly indicate water leaking from the 2nd floor bathroom. He also indicated that the bath tub tiling needed to be replaced immediately as he felt that there may be water penetration. The inspection report indicated how to fix the things that were indicated in the report and gave an estimation of the time line that was recommended (immediately etc). I have now lived in the house for 2.5 years and I feel that all of their recommendations were justified. I did replace the bathtub 1 yr after moving in and there was indeed a small amount of water penetration as had been suggested by the thermography scan. I feel that it was an excellent home inspection and I would use this company again. They are more expensive but they are worth it

Trevvor was professional and he did a good job for a fair price. He is quite personable and I would use him again. Before he left he went outside of my house to make sure that the dryer vent was not blocked by lint at the outside of my house. He cleaned it out as there was indeed a buildup of lint! I would definitely recommend him and I would use him again.

I had my roof replaced about 1.5 years ago by sears. To make a long story short, about 7 months after it was installed, the roof leaked. The leak only occurred when we experienced a driving rain with the rain hitting the front of my house. They sent people out to look at it and they believed that it was a result gaps in my bricks rather than a faulty installation. Ultimately, my father and I took a hose up to the flashing and we showed irrefutably that the flashing was the cause of the leak. We documented that the leak on film and showed that it could be caused by running water directly over the flashing. When we showed the movie to Sears, they agreed to fix the problem and repair the damage to my home (drywall insulation and vapour barrier. While the problem took a long time to resolve (approximately 3 months until the roof was fixed and about 8 months to fix the drywall in my house) they did ultimately fix the problem and repair the damage. I am less than happy with the whole situation but I must admit that they FIXED EVERYTHING that I asked them to fix. Most other roofing companies would never admit that they installed something wrong and they would not come back to fix all of the damage that they had caused. My review is a bit of good and bad here so take it for what it is worth. I would give them an F for causing the problem in the first place but an A+ for fixing the problem .

My father used this com;any about 10 years ago to replace his windows and he is happy to this day with these windows. When I needed new windows decided to get 5 quotes before making a decision. I had 5 quotes Last year I had our old windows replaced by this company. There were 17 windows in total, 2 of them were very large 4 feet x 5 feet. replaced them with vinyl double pane windows (high efficiency Low E and Argon gas, thermal sealed). I had 5 quotes for windows and their quote was definitely the most reasonable. The installation was fast and instead of waiting 6 weeks as I expected, they managed to squeeze me in 3 weeks earlier. They job was done in 2 days and they did a decent job at cleaning up afterwards. Before they left, I made sure that I checked for any holes or gaps in the caulking and they made sure that I was completely happy with the installation before they finished. I have had the windows for about 1.5 years and one of the windows and I am happy with them.

This is the second time that Jamie Graham has done work in our home and we are once again very happy with the finished product. Last fall Jamie Graham was contracted to replace some insulation, vapour barrier and drywall in a ceiling that had been damaged by a roof leak. He did a great job and it looked great. I really appreciated that he was neat around the job site and he cleaned up as he went so that I was never living in huge mess. It still looks great to this day. Just this month we hired Jamie Graham for a bathroom renovation. We hired him to install drywall and ceramic tile around a new bathtub/shower unit. Jamie was very professional and he began the job on time with no delays. He worked very hard to complete the job in the expected time frame which was very important as it is the ONLY bath/shower in a home of 2 adults and 2 small kids. He was friendly and professional and also offered design advice that we found very helpful. Even though we ran into unanticipated problems, Jamie managed to resolve them and he still finished the job on time. I would highly recommend Jamie as he is very professional, honest and hard working and his rates are quite reasonable. It is refreshing to find such an honest and hardworking contractor and we will definitely use him again.

I used their services several years ago to trim a large tree on a property in Hamilton. They were very courteous on the telephone and were able to give me an appointment very quickly. They were able to prune a very large Elm Tree that was extremely close to 2 homes and pressing up against numerous telephone lines. They trimmed the tree using a cherry picker without damaging any of the telephone lines or houses. I don't think that it was an easy job but they made it look easy. They were very friendly and professional and I would definitely use them again.

I was referred to this company by a neighbour who had used their services previously. I had a 15 x 12 section of flat roof replaced by this company approximately 7 years ago in late fall. They were contracted to dismantled a deck, put down a new flat roof rubber membrane and reassemble the deck on top of the roof. The workers completed the job in a couple of days but I was disturbed to find that they left empty beer bottles behind. About 3 months later, the roof failed in the middle of March. There was a large amount of water leaking in to the room below and I contracted another company to repair the roof. Upon inspection, they discovered that the roof installed by JRP Roofing had NOT been torched down (as is necessary for proper installation) and was simply placed on top of the roof. I was shocked and disgusted. I brought this matter up with the owner and after about 5 months, he returned about $1200 of my money. I would never use this company again.
