Ontario Smart Energy

Sales rep and his manager told me:
1. After the equipment was paid for, the maintenance program could be assumed by the person to whom the house was sold (untrue) and that monthly payments for this program would not be required. Not true--full payment required upon sale of property
2. Under the program, all equipment would be replaced if it could not be repaired (also untrue. It is only a very ordinary warranty).
3. I was also told that Ontario Smart Energy cared about its customers and ensured that the interest rates would remain below market rates Also untrue, the interest is handled by a third party after the first year.

They had to return to fix an installation problem as well. If negative ratings were permitted, I would do so. After speaking to a manager, it is clear that the sales people are allowed to promise anything they please. Anything not in the written contract will not be honoured. Do not, under any circumstances, do business with this company.

Two months later, they have not submitted the rebate application for which I was told that I was eligible.

I did business with another company through a Enbridge rebate program and was very happy.

Had the system in for over a month now, snow is falling, and we're still waiting for the system to be set up correctly. Installation took until 1:30 in the morning. Technicians did not have correct equipment or knowledge. Borrowed my tools and spent a large amount of the time on the phone with another technician. HVAC friend noted incorrect installation methods and has left me with no faith that these guys can provide the service they sell.

My basement was recently flooded due to a fault pipe in my washroom area. Ontario Smart Energy was quick to respond and did a good job overall. Very good communication on their part.

Out of the busy schedule they still nade time to visit to assest our house and giving my family the best options. Hanna and Philip went above and beyond the call not only giving options, taking time with home owner for communication towards understanding each others needs, and very friendly manner. Giving options that was presented, they try to understands ones needs for continuing living in our home, that left us with positive relief towards tomorrow and beyond.

My furnace and ductless ac were very old and ws always a headache for me so this yer i wanted to find some better option without spending too much money, one of my friends advised me to replace the machines on financing instead so i liked this idea and googled. i callled different contractors and finally decided to go ahaed with steve at Ontario smart, m satisfied with my new furnace and heatpmup and would recommend others to use this company.
