Bci Landscaping

We went with BCI landscaping & hardscapes after reading homestars reviews and meeting with a few contractors.
Our backyard is quite unique as it is a townhouse and the only access is through a man-door in the garage. Some companies didn't even bother to quote us, other companies gave us astronomical quotes.
Derek's quote was very fair. Coupled with the reviews given on Homestars, we enthusiastically went with this company.
They nailed our simple vision and were able to come up with practical solutions to some of the roadblocks we had. Derek also provided some suggestions that we really enjoyed.
Our project included interlock, new sod, tree removal, and new mulch.
Everything was done quicker than we expected, and we are thrilled with the outcome. The team was friendly, respectful, and easy to communicate with.

Like most of us, our home has been our sanctuary for the past year. Making it hard to travel and congregate as family and friends. The only goodness coming out of this experience was our overdue backyard renovation.

So after hitting the marketplace and having 4-5 quotes from various companies we decide to go with BCI. We chose Derek because of how accommodating he made his feel during estimates , never pressured us into any corners; and most often working creatively with our ideas and budget.

We loved his tech savvy fly-by video giving us a visual of the project. This was a great touch since it started to set our expectations straight for the work ahead. We signed up and awaited a start date. To our delight, he called 1 week ahead of schedule and was ready to start.

One of the benefits of working from home allowed us to have an eye out on the progress. We got to appreciate the effort, meticulousness and camaraderie Derek and his team bring to work. Going often out of their way to tackle obstacles unforeseen. They treated our property like it was their own keeping it tidy after a day’s work. I had to check if we hired a cleaning service or a landscaping company. Even our neighbours complimented their work ethic.

As much as we looked forward to completion of this project what we really enjoyed was the journey and transformation. Derek and his team organized themselves each day, they didn’t cut any corners and solved every issue without any compromises.

Whether you are on a small or large budget, BCI takes a lot of pride in the lot work. We would highly recommend BCI to my family and friends.

We are really glad we went with BCI. We got their contact info from another house on our street that had a really nice front garden and walkway. Dealing with Keith from BCI was hassle-free and very smooth. Keith came over to take a look at the site promptly and helped us refine our vision and provide options and ideas. We also appreciated the willingness to work within our budget. Once the contract was signed, Keith and his team were on site as scheduled and worked surprisingly fast to complete the project. The team was really friendly and helpful and were always double checking with us about details rather than just making assumptions. We also appreciated their willingness to make last minute adjustments and accommodate our requested changes as the work progressed. The final outcome is the walkway and garden we always wanted! Keith and his team were great - dependable, discerning and communicated with me (a woman) in a clear, respectful manner (no “mansplaining”). Very pleased with the finished product and have already booked additional services for Spring 2020. Keith goes above and beyond to service clients sincerely and to the best of his ability. I really appreciated the direct and honest approach and the fine work.

After our exterior renovations were unexpectedly halted, our front yard was a big mess. We needed the area graded, resodded, a patio & walkway built. We got several quotes and found BCI to be competitively priced. Derrick was efficient & easy to deal with. He listened to our ideas and offered constructive ideas during the planning phase and also during construction. When the stone we chose was not available due to Covid related delays, BCI was able to locate a comparable product to keep the project on schedule. During construction BCI staff were polite and always left the yard tidy after finishing for the day. We are very happy that we chose BCI and absolutely recommend them.

After having a very high pressure experience, Keith was great to deal with, no high pressure sales. He took the time to understand what we were looking to do; provided us with insights into aspects of options for consideration and he gave us the time we needed to make the decision if we were going to proceed without pressuring us. He didn't arrive on site to give estimate with the expectation to walk away with a quote. He understood and respected we needed time to consider everything.

The crew was respectful and courteous, and the work was done impeccably. So incredibly pleased with the result. Would definitely recommend BCI.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Derek, Keith and the rest of the BCI crew to do our front yard interlocking.
