Re Home Inspections

Phil conducted a pre-purchase home inspection for a property my daughter is interested in buying. He did a thorough inspection of the house and its major systems. His report included photos, diagrams, and a brief description of the issues observed, the repairs needed and when to do them to ensure and maintain the integrity of the house, both inside and outside. The report also included links to DIY videos where the job doesn't need to be done by a professional.
He provided a list of area contractors and an "Action List" which is a condensed version (with photos/diagrams) of the inspection report and is helpful to determine which issues the seller needs to deal with before closing or to negotiate a sale price taking into consideration repairs which still need to be done. Phil was quick to respond to the many questions I texted him - even on a Sunday! My daughter and I were extremely impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. We highly recommend him to anyone who needs a home inspection.

I was set on buying the property but the home inspection revealed so many issues that I realized it was going to be to many problems to deal with. I was disappointed but in the end I was thankful as the report alerted me to the problems and work I would have to do.

Excellent summary and photographic illustrations and pre-prepared statements of typical conditions and finally a well-organized document reflecting current specific conditions and future prioritized renovations. Even though there was distance as we awaited the summary here in Toronto and could not attend; it was as though we were there in Nova Scotia with him. The follow up questions were answered promptly and in good faith. An excellent experience. Well recommended.

Phil was incredibly knowledgable AND in no hurry when it came to give any time needed to track things down, answer questions, describe things such as systems. This professional knew his stuff in so many areas: construction, plumbing, electrical, heating, insulation and codes. With no flooring but only the joists to carefully cross in the attic, he explored all of it. The BEST HOME INSPECTION I've ever had done! Oh, and with photos, the report was head and shoulders better than ANY I had ever contracted for, before. EXCELLENT!

Every inspectors should do like you Phil, you're the first one that i met that spend haft a day to do a deep inspection. No rush and explaining any things that are not clear. Also your report as a lot of detail and pictures in it also with wise explanation.
For yourself to be better i don't know if it's possible because your way ahead of most of all the others i seen.
