Thermenergy Heating & Cooling

This is my second review for Thermenergy on Homestars. Based on a previous positive work experience (hot water tank install + A/C repair), we decided to call Kal once again. We are so glad we did!

Our gas furnace broke down in Feb 2022. Kal showed up like Batman the same morning at our East Scarborough home to assess the issue. Within 5 minutes, he confirmed that the gas valve was malfunctioning. The part was ordered the same day, and he offered to replace the flame sensor and igniter parts with no additional labour costs. The technician, Mehdi, came punctually the next morning and conducted the repair with professionalism and was very polite.

Price was reasonable, great communication by Kal throughout the process, and more importantly the fast response was so essential in our emergency! Thanks Thermenergy!

Very reliable , cost effective , knowledgeable and always on time .. they did great job installing my furnace AC tankless water heater and hepa filter atoon system … Kalapi and a pankaj both are relatable and knowledgeable.

I contacted Termenergy for a service call to assess the issues with my furnace. Kalapi attended the next day, provided professional service and walked me through the full process. The service ended up being covered under warranty through my water heater provider, but I am so grateful for Kalapi. I will definitely keep his number/company info to call for the future!! I would highly recommend them.

My old rental water heater was at the end of its life. I contacted Thermenergy about replacing it with a tankless heater, and I'm very glad I did. Kalapi was quick to respond and had a competitive quote for an installation in a tight space. The new water heater was installed the next day and they even returned my rental heater for me. I highly recommend ThermEnergy - there's no sales pressure and outstanding customer service.

Excellent service by this company.. very professional and competent. Our Ac at Restaurant wasn’t working. We contacted them and techs arrived on time and found out problem within 30 mins .. fixed same day and charges were competitive too.. now our customers and employees are at comfort..

Thermenergy provided the most competitive pricing for my request for quotation for a “two birds with one stone” job: 1) Fix central A/C (recharge refrigerant), 2) Remove and replace 40 gallon rental hot water heater. Contacted a bunch of companies through Homestars and locally as well. Kal got back to me quickly through Homestars and spoke with him by phone. He was knowledgable and easy to talk to. Kal recommended the Rheem PV40, and advised that we keep the same sizing for practicality and energy savings. He was helpful at explaining the process to return the rental tank, and that his guys would take care of it.

Kal actually showed up the next day to fix my A/C and to confirm existing site conditions and pricing for the hot water tank. His pricing was “all-in” with no surprises.

For the A/C fix, Kal quickly recognized that the original installers left the refrigerant lines overcharged. Opposite to what we thought was broken by conventional wisdom! Although it was a fast and easy fix, Kal hardly charged any money at all for the repair.

For the hot water heater work, two technicians showed up the following week. The two gentlemen were punctual, friendly and answered all my questions in a helpful manner. The workmanship appears to be pretty good. Hardly any mess left behind. Rental unit was returned to Reliance Home Comfort the morning of the following business day. We’re pretty happy with the Rheem PV40, it’s much quieter compared to the previous rental GSW power vent unit. Good riddance to monthly bills. Work was completed in early-July 2020. So far so good.

Job was to remove and cap a natural gas line that was no longer required. Work was done in a professional manner, site was left clean after. I would recommend for similar service.
