The Hardwood Outlet

I normally do not like to give bad reviews, however, I gave the establishment ample time to respond to my concerns and they chose not to.
This place may be okay for materials but do not under any circumstances use their installation services. Here are the main issues:
- They have a very confusing quoting process - where it not even clear what each side is responsible for. Apparently shop to provide stain and varnish means the customer has to buy it.
- Their coordination with the contract crew is horrendous. On day one no one shows up to my house and I was promised all day that they will be there in the next hour. Day 1 was a wash out.
- They never call you back once you have parted with your money. Its always let me call you back in 5 minutes which is code for you can try calling me back yourself in an hour.
- Terrible planning they wait until the last minute to measure my stairs that needed a custom cut, delaying the project another 3 days.
- Finally, I contacted the manager to vent my frustration when the work was finally completed. He promised to call me back. It has been 2 weeks now.

I went to the Mississauga location and Steve told me I would be getting all the same solid hardwood (same brand, colour, gloss, everything). He made two different receipts and said made me pay three different prices per square foot. He said the hardwood was out of stock, so I was paying more. However, he reassured that everything would be the same (brand, colour, gloss). When the delivery came, there were two different brands and even the delivery guy called Steve to say the hardwood looked different. One of the batches was sent back. The other batch was installed and now I am trying to get the same brand, colour, gloss but now Steve is trying to sell me the rejected batch for more money!!!! I have tried numerous times to contact management, but I keep talking to the sales reps. I do not know what to do!!! I have paid in full and this issue hasn't been resolved yet :(

Staff is very Knowledgeable and professional. The store has excellent selections. Being able to take samples was very helpful!

Just finished doing my entire house with carpet. 2400 squ feet. we shopped around and picked David because of 1 price, 2 personality and reputation and 3 he was referred. from the very beginning they we professional, respectful and heard exactly what we wanted. they worked very hard for two days and were a pleasure to have around. i am a Financial Planner so i take referring very seriously. i would 100% recommend this company for price, service, and delivering what they promised and more.

absolutely incredible from start to finish. almost had my family's best interest. safety first on decisions with the stairs. and refused to take shortcuts on the job. i honestly could not be any happier and will use them again and refer them to everyone i know.

Purchased product May 27,2017 and it did'nt work with the other flooring so we tried to return it June 11 2017 and they would not refund it or exchange for another product unless i paid a 200.00 restocking fee.according to their website on returns even though we complied with the refund policy they refused to honor the refund.

It took me 3 months searching for "the perfect floor" for my home. After 25-30 different stores I decided to go with The Hardwood Outlet located inside Improve on Keele St. As fussy as I am, I cannot find any flaws in my flooring. Selection and cost are great, installation is amazing! Every guest visiting my home have commented on the floor, most of them saying "wow" upon entering. I had a great experience with this company and would recommend it to anyone, stress free from start to finish.
