We reached out to the Ultimate Mold Crew on Homestars and were impressed with how quickly they responded and offered to do a site assessment. All of the staff we dealt with were very professional and communicative. They ended up having to remove a lot of the drywall and flooring but saved as much as they could, disinfecting the flooring and putting it to one side so that we can re-install it when we finish waterproofing the basement. While the reason for calling UMC was very stressful (water coming in through the foundation), working with the crew was a stress-free experience. I would recommend them.

In late July, I noted a small puddle outside my cold room. Now, I haven't looked inside / used the cold room since I first moved into the house a decade ago (kinda afraid to see what was inside).

But with the puddle/water; I could wait no longer and when I opened the door the cold room; I was horrified to find that there was mold inside and that the wooden ceiling of the cold room had collapsed (as one piece).

Further research revealed that the scaffolding should have been removed by the builder and is non-structural. I really couldn't deal with the concept of having to demolish the wood AND clean up the room/mold.

LUCKILY, Priya called the next morning and was able to give me a quote and schedule me in for a remediation the same week (2 days later).

They were very professional; arrived on time. Sealed the basement/area affected as running a negative pressure to prevent mold spread while cleanup was happening. They were quick and managed to remove all the wood debris/scaffolding in a clean and contained manner.

The room now looks great as it has been repainted and the mold is gone from the cold room.

So happy to have found this dynamic duo. Priya and Antonio exceeded my expectations. They were gracious, professional and helpful. I have already recommended them to family and friends.

Priya and Antonio provided plenty of options and suggestions for us throughout the entire process to put our minds at ease when deciding to remove the mold from our closet and possibly demoing it (creating an open-concept space). Very impressed with the honesty of this company. They came to my house in Mississauga where I had a little bit of mold. I had various companies come in and make up stories about how bad it was and constantly putting fear into the minds of me and my girlfriend. Ultimate mold came in and said, it’s basically a job I can do my self because it was not as bad. They consulted me on how to remove it and left. I double checked this through home inspector Who confirmed that it was in fact true. They could have easily taken my business. Now I have moved to a much bigger home that has a lot more mold issues but yet again they came in and were the most efficient and consultative. Keep up the good work. Happy to see small businesses approach customers like this.
