The gentleman came on time. He then diagnosed the issue promptly. He also explained how to prevent this from happening in the future. In and out in 20 minutes. Well worth the money.

Service was good. Set up the appointment for the next day at 11am to install the board. Did not call to say he would be late. I called and found out that he would be there around 1pm.

I called Pro Choice and they picked up right away. The person on the phone was extremely kind and open to getting someone to me as soon as they could. The were able to provide next day service. They arrived on time. The technician on site was very helpful, not just fixing the problem but being very straight forward as to what caused it and how to prevent such issues from happening again. I was almost going to purchase a new/used unit to replace mine but thankfully that didn't have to be the only option. The unit is still working beautifully and we're very grateful. Thank you Pro Choice!

Fridge freezer iced up due to blocked drain hole. This is the second time it happens in 5 years. The technician de-iced and unplugged the hole. He also replaced the 2 springs supporting the dishwasher door. He was competent friendly and helpful showing us how to de ice the freezer.

The issue with my Whirlpool washing machine was fixed. Pro Choice was trust worthy fast quality work done and followed up on. One understandable delay which was resolved professionally. Very friendly company. Competent!

The pump that drains the water from my GE dishwasher stopped working one day. Kobe from pro-choice was over within 2 days of my call to them for an initial diagnostic. After investigating the issue, he was back in 4 days with the replacement part, and the dishwasher was running as good as new. No issues with it in the ~2 months since the repair.

A positive experience overall

I called GTA appliance repair, the repair was done by Tony who also goes by Tareq (I figured this out after the 3rd call) who owns his own business of GTA Heating and Service, but the invoice is from Pro Choice Appliance. We spent $436 and 22 days trying to get a bellows replacement on a front loading washer. Today I fixed it myself as the above mentioned people/person couldn't find it in them to provide a decent service.
The initial install was done incorrectly and leaked. No problem. We had paid for the repair and their websites talk about their stellar customer service so called them back and informed them. We arranged 3 different times for Tony who never called or showed up and when finally contacted was ignorant in his responses as to why I refused to reschedule a 4th time. (I was ignorant back as Tony would agree.)
Mike, the manager, made initial attempts to explain his overpriced repair (Tony told me it would have been cheaper if I called him directly) and to get a different repair technician back out to fix the problem. I did not get a reply beyond "I am working on it" given about a week ago. I am on a first name basis with their receptionist who was always pleasant and apologetic. Seriously though, if you don't have great service, your customer service should be exemplary. These persons/companies do not!
So I fixed the machine with a hex key, a screwdriver, a 1/4 inch nut driver and a youtube video. I called Mike today and left a message to ask for the cost of the repair back. Anyone think I will ever hear back?

I paid these guys at Pro Choice Appliance Repair $300 to fix a leak under my dishwasher. The technician, Tony told me I would not have a problem for another 5 years if I paid to replace the water valve because the rest of the washer was in great condition. The next time I ran the washer the leak was bigger. When Tony came back, his reply was, oh this is a much bigger problem and wanted more money to replace another part. (which would be more than a new washer at this point) He said if he had noticed this at first he would have told me to buy a new washer?!?!? So now I still have a broken washer, they have $300. After weeks of emails and unanswered phone calls, I was told by the owner, Mike, "These things happen with repairs" and he was not going to fix the problem or give me any kind of refund. I asked Mike to come to my place to inspect the work and he refused. He said he spoke to his guys and that was enough for him and blamed me for complaining. I was pretty shocked by the whole thing. I have never written a bad review, but I don't even know what to do. I had somebody else come in and the valve was not even broken. This is bad business. They took my money and ran. Dishonest all around. Only use people you know and trust.
