Hi Keith,
Firstly, we're really sorry to hear you're disappointed with your experience. We do our best to deliver a service that we can be proud of
I'd like to clarify a few points you've brought up:
We give estimates rather than fixed dates, especially for early-season projects that are 100+ km from the City of Edmonton limits. Unpredictable factors like a prolonged winter can delay the start date. We communicated this beforehand.
The setback change was an error on the Town of Wetaskiwin's part, and we've been working to resolve this. We also applied for a variance, absorbing the cost ourselves. Any errors on our side were fixed without delays.
Electrical work was done with a permit. While it's hard to believe our longtime electrician would make such an oversight, we promptly replaced the breakers to ensure your satisfaction.
Quality & Inspection: You moved items into the garage before the project was completed, which could contribute to some of the damage you cited. This is against our liability and company policy, as it compromises both quality control and safety. We still fixed all the aforementioned issues and our final walkthrough report that was signed off by you didn't show these issues.
Fire-rated Wall: This was another late-stage requirement from the town of Wetaskiwin, not an oversight on our part. We're adapting to it as quickly as we can.
We've endeavoured to go above and beyond to resolve these issues, even providing additional services like the concrete apron at no extra cost to you. We get it, though. The end result was not what you had hoped for, and for that, we are sorry.
