The emergency crew was quite helpful, they came in right away on a Sunday and set up the dehumidifiers and mats both upstairs and down. That was the end of their good service. The estimate was low based on the damage we could see. When we raised this issue, they refused to revise the estimate stating that if we went with them for the restoration, they would take care of getting the extra damage covered for us. This raised the risk for us to go with our own contractor as we would have to go back to the insurance company and try to get the additional damage covered.
Kyle was the project coordinator that was assigned to us and he was completely useless. Kyle didn't bother showing up on site for 6 weeks after the restoration began, and after several complaints to his manager about the poor communication from Kyle, he was replaced. We were forced to do the coordination with all the subcontractors ourselves which makes you wonder why we hired Foley in the first place. From what we can tell, no licensed trades people were used: the electrical was done by the same guy who hung the drywall, the plumbing by the contractors brother.
They left the job incomplete, refuse to fix the outstanding defects, damaged a light fixture, the front and garage doors and have not fixed them. They refuse to pay us back for tile that we purchased until we sign off on the job as complete when it isn't.
It has been a horrible experience, going with Foley was the biggest mistake we have ever made!
