My experience with M Squared Flooring & Design Inc., specifically dealing with the owner Mehdi, was nothing short of a nightmare. I hired this company several years ago for a floor installation project, and it turned out to be a colossal disappointment from start to finish.

Other then the inital few discussions up until the agreement Mehdi's communication skills were abysmal. Mehdi continued to push the project start date back forcing my project to have compounding and costly delays. Once the work started it was a constant struggle to get clear answers to my questions, and he seemed disinterested in addressing my concerns. The lack of professionalism was evident, which set a negative tone for the entire project.

The actual installation was a complete disaster. The workers seemed totaly inexperienced and careless, leaving uneven flooring and visible gaps between the planks. It was clear that they were rushing through the job. When I was successful in connecting with Mehdi's and brought these issues to his attention, he was dismissive and offered no solutions.

To make matters worse, the project dragged on for weeks longer than promised, causing more inconveniences. Mehdi's complete lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction was astonishing.

In the end, the quality of work provided by M Squared Flooring & Design Inc. was far below acceptable standards and totaly unaceptable, forcing me to have another company step in and re-do the intire project. My interactions with Mehdi left me deeply frustrated and disappointed. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for a more professional and competent flooring company.

We called Mehdi to do a very small job in our entrance way. We recently had the rest of the floors in the house done and immediately regretted not doing the entrance too. The company was not able to return promptly to complete the entrance so we called Mehdi to do the job. He came very quickly and gave us a decent quote. He said it would be done in a day. He came to do the work himself, along with another worker. Unfortunately, both men seemed to lack the skill or expertise to properly execute the job. During demo they damaged our nosing, which had just been done, so we had to pay for new nosing to be put in. The job dragged on over a week due to the lack of expertise and in the end Mehdi left the job incomplete. I don’t think either of us had faith in his ability to complete it properly at this point. I then had to run around looking for products and then complete the job myself. Although he seemed like a nice guy, I just don’t think he or his worker really knew what they were doing. This simple job seemed to be way over their heads. There is also a spot in my entrance now where one plank has dropped and is no longer level.

Mehdi dragged us on for almost 6 months, telling us every week that he would be coming to complete the installation. Turns out he was being dishonest the whole time with no intention of finishing our job. We were stuck living on our first floor of our home without being able to move upstairs because he didn't finish his work. It would have been much better if he was truthful to begin with and just told us he couldn't do it - instead he told us every week he would be there and yet never showed up. He took our money. Do not trust this person he is not legitimate. A couple of months ago when we began to find him sketchy there were bad reviews online on Google, and as of now they are all gone - he covers up well. We are going to work on suing him and his company. If you want to verify our story just go to the flooring manufacturers like Vintage who he owes a lot of money to - they will not release any materials he supposedly ordered. We ended up having to purchase the materials again AND now we had to find our own installers. Mehdi is not a good person, he will make you believe he is doing everything he can and basically wear you down until you give up trying to get your money. Beware of him.

Got paid for the job that was never completed. And over charging out of the roof.

He also refused to pay the sub contractor he hired form kijiji.

Guess what I had to pay him while you have already gotten the money the work that you never completed.

I usually don’t do reviews but I just loved the customer service at M2 Flooring. I walked in the door not knowing what a wanted. I was greeted by Mehdi. He pulled it together for me. Then I was surprised he even came to help measure. The installers arrived on a Friday and worked all day from removing my old carpet, moving my furniture and installing the new. I was in love with my choice. Thought that was it. I was a happy customer. Received a call on Monday from M2 Flooring requesting to come out for final inspection. I was beyond impressed. Customer service was amazing . Highly recommend them. Will be using them for my future flooring needs.

Installation wasn’t done as we were promised. Lots of damages to our doors and walls. The installers didn’t have clear instructions , we had to constantly supervise them and still things were not dine 100% right. Medhi apologized, but nothing got fixed

We went with M2 because we loved the look of their product (we still love the look of it). However, they almost delayed our project with various miscommunications and delivery issues. We also were not too impressed with the cost of the nosings. The hardwood for our entire first floor was $7000 and nosings for 14 feet were priced at $680.

At any rate, the product did arrive just in the nick of time, and the quality is superb and we are really happy with the look and feel of it. Our contractor did an amazing job on the install. I just wish getting to the final output was a little easier.

I'm working with the owner of the business to resolve some noise issues.

it has been 2 years since the installation, i have had to pay another company to come and rip out the new hardwood, repair the subfloor, and re-install new hardwood that i have paid all out of my own pocket. All because his installer did not do the job correctly

I am waiting on owner to take his installer to court, and get financial compensation back, so he can pay me back money that i have lost.

My wife and I had a hard time finding anyone to brogues herringbone floors.

M Squared had a great combination of materials, selection, and brands... but also had a good design sense.

They helped us devise a layout, and the installer was very patient and did amazing work.

I was very impressed with the quality and service I received from M2. We wanted to renovate our 3 bedrooms and as part of that replace carpets with hardwood floors.
Coming to M2 we found a friendly and calm environment and were able to find the perfect flooring. Mehdi was very knowledgeable about all their products helping us make a great choice and answering all our questions.
He thoroughly walked us through the purchase and installation process giving us the confidence that M2 is the right company to do business with.
We chose to go with Mercier Madera white oak 4 1/4 hardwood floors and had them installed in January 2018. The installation process was very smooth and quick and Mehdi was able to
accommodate our renovation schedule giving us time to finish our master bedroom before the rest of the bedroom floorings was replaced.
I would definitely recomend M2 as a place where you could do business with confidence.
