I needed to have the taps above the laundry tub replaced as they were leaking. The service man was very friendly and helpful and explained fully what he had done. He obviously took pride in his job. The only compaint I have is that the cost of the repair was higher than I anticipated. The taps are worth about $50 and I paid another $150 plus for the service which I thought was high considering I have the plumbing coverage. I believe I probably paid about the same that someone would if they didn't have the plumbing coverage.

Recently moved into a beautiful older home, but with older homes comes some unforseen problems. One weekend before christmas I came home to find the house fridged cold. A call was made to Direct Energy and within 24hrs a repair man was able to correct the problem and got the furnace up and running again. He also informed me of a few hazards that he had found in the "newer furnace", that could have been devasting. Within the next few days follow up appointments were made to address the concerns. The furnace was essentially saved from an emminent demise. I also had the extra insurance on the furnace which helped with the costs. During the conversations with the booking agents i also enrolled in a plumbing and drain coverage at a very reasonable cost of 4.99/month,,(it was a special at the time) Within the last couple of weeks during the big melt the basement flooded with six inches of water, a call was made to Direct Energy and a plumber was here within 24/hrs. He had to snake a large root out of the main drain and within an hour the basement was for the most part empty. Due to the flood the pilot light on the water heater had been extinguished again another call was made and within 24hrs another service man came to repair that concern. All of this with no extra cost. I am very satisfied with the service that Direct Energy Home Services have provided over the last couple of months. I would definitely recommend this company, very professional, courteous and knowledgable.

The faucet from the laundry sink was leaking.I called Direct Energy. I had an appointment for the next day. The plumber ( John) who came in was very professional. Work well done!

The person who did the service was helpful and co-operative. He was also knowledgeable. He left literature for me to peruse, which was helpful because I was not certain about the plans available, etc.

Prompt answere to initial service call. Call center person very professional and helpful. Really felt like she cared and did her best to schedule the service call as soon as possible. Service tech was very knowledgeable and professional. Completed the work in a timely manner and was willing to answere all questions with patients and understanding (I asked a lot of questions)

Our furnace broke down this winter and after paying someone $100 just to come to our house and look at it, we learned it would be almost $700 for repairs. That's when we found out about Direct Energy's Heating and Cooling Protection plan. We pay them $20 a month on our regular gas bill and they service our furnace for free. This is a great option for people like us who have a furnace more than 10 years old.

Our furnace broke down again this winter and we called the hotline. They were able to get us an appointment the next day. The service guy came on time, was super knowledgeable and friendly, and did all the repairs for free! It's piece of mind at a reasonable price!

When I awoke to a cold house and found the furnace was not working, I called Direct Energy for service , and was given an appointment the same day. The technician arrived within 4 hours, and solved the problem and checked that the furnace was working properly. I consider this excellent service.

Early Monday morning our furnace was making a loud whinning sound. I called Direct Energy's 800 number at 7:30 a.m. expecting to get a recorded message, but to my surprise I was greeted by a real voice. The operator booked an appointment that morning for a service tecnician. The tecnician was at my house within 3 hours and had the problem fixed within an hour. Both the operator and the technician were very professional, and made me feel like I was important. I had been quite sick and that morning it was -16 degree's outside. I was treated like a valuable customer from the time I made my appointment to after the job was completed. The agent on the phone was excellent and answered all my questions about my service plan, and the serviceman who did my furnace checkup was very helpful. He arrived within the appointment window times. He asked pertinent questions to make sure I was following the safety rules for gas furnaces, ie. Do I have a working carbon monoxide detector? Do I make sure that I keep the exhaust and fresh air pipes clear after snow storms? etc. He also gave me a couple of good tips to help keep my furnace operating at peak performance and he answered my questions. Thank you for the good care you gave.

In February 2001 my old furnace stopped working. It was cold and I am not sure if I was a Direct Energy customer then or not. I remember having two or three different local furnace repair men fix up my old furnace and it worked as well as could be expected for awhile. Then I heard an explosion and called Direct Energy. They had someone here within a hour and told me the boiler was cracked. I called Direct Energy and they worked out a financing deal for me and two guys came to my house the next day took my old furnace out and installed a brand new energy efficient furnace. I only had one cool night and since I had the new furnace installed I have been happy to have the reassurance of knowing my heating help is reliable and fast. I put the cost of the visit at $100.00 but I don't know how much it would be. The annual checkup is included in my heating protection plan.
